Early 1967 Kaiser Willys CJ5 Dauntless V-6. I collect antique trucks and acquired the truck a few years ago and what attracted me initially was it is one of the few left that was not modified and the condition was exceptional for its age. I have installed a few parts. The truck has 5 brand new tires Firestone Destination M/T 235/75/15, 4 new leaf springs and bushings, clamps and Bolts. I still have original parts if buyer wants them. New tie rods and ball joint ends. Clutch arm and linkage has been replaced. 4 new shocks and headlights. Original factory installed engine 225 cu has a fresh set of wires, plugs, cap/rotor etc... Heater box has been cleaned, coils cleaned and painted and heat works excellent. Exterior of Jeep has been painted the original color before I acquired the truck. Not a great paint job, although steel is all solid and it is the original color green. Undercarriage is mostly very solid as are the floor boards except one small corner on passenger side has minor pitting but still solid. a few floor supports could also be replaced * Please see photo. The interior is 100% original. The seats are in fair shape for there age, still pliable and back seat is in fair condition with one minor rip on top corner. The gauges are original as is the wiring harness. I installed a new Key Ignition switch and replacement the choke cable. It comes with an older soft top in good condition. I drive the truck locally and it will drive at 60Mph no problem, the ride is like a 67 CJ5 with new springs. The radial tires help achieve a decent ride, backed by the V-6 Dauntless. Behind the Dauntless is a original 3 speed T86 Transmission which shifts good * I have not replaced the throw out bearing and may need in future due to occasional minor noise when clutch is depressed. Clutch grabs nice. All fluids have been replaced including differentials. The truck is very original and I am not advertizing it as mint condition, the truck is in good condition. There are improvements that the new owner could make but the original condition and low miles make this truck very unique. The engine runs like new, no smoke, oil burning or leaking and is probably the best attribute of the truck. There are a few minor seepage leaks underneath such as diff. seals but not much. Good original solid Steel Body CJ5 Willy's. It looks amazing and turns a lot of heads and is very fun to drive. Good luck bidding! Thank you |

Watch this R/C Jeep Wrangler plow snow
Mon, 06 Jan 2014There's no denying the fact that the Jeep Wrangler is one tough and rugged vehicle, and there is apparently little lost when the SUV is shrunk down for a 1:10th scale radio-controlled version. Proving that the Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler is not your run-of-the-mill R/C car, YouTube user Andrew Dykiel posted a pair of videos showing it clear about an inch of snow from his sidewalk and driveway during a snow storm last month.
Starting at $379.99, the Axial SCX10 costs more than most budget snowblowers, but other than paying a neighbor kid to shovel your snow, this might be the best way for a car guy to clear snow without the need for hot chocolate and ibuprofen. Better yet, it's electric, so it's zero-emission answer to snow removal! Scroll down to see how this R/C Jeep can help "shovel" snow from the warmth of your sofa. We've also thrown in a bonus video showing the mini Jeep negotiating the Rubicon Trail.
2018 Jeep Wrangler four-cylinder fuel economy revealed
Wed, May 9 2018Fuel economy numbers for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler with the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder have finally been announced by the EPA. In the city, the two-door model gets 23 mpg, and the four-door Unlimited gets 22. Highway fuel economy for the two-door is 25 mpg and 24 for the four-door. Combined for the two-door and four-door is 24 and 22 respectively. These aren't Prius numbers, but they do make the four-cylinder Wrangler the most efficient version of the off-roader so far. The rest of the Wrangler range with V6 power gets 20 mpg combined, with the exception of the manual four-door, which gets 19. The most efficient V6 models in the city are the automatic models, which, regardless of length, get 18 mpg. On the highway, the best V6 is the manual two-door, which manages 25 mpg, and only loses 1 mpg in the city to the automatic. The question is, is the improved fuel economy worth the price premium of the four-cylinder? The automatic-only four-cylinder engine is an extra $1,000 over a V6 automatic, and $3,000 over a V6 manual. And when looking at the annual fuel cost estimates at fueleconomy.gov, you might only save $50 to $100 each year. The problem being that, while it's more efficient, it also demands premium fuel that the V6 doesn't. So it could be quite a while before the upfront cost is recouped. But if you want a Wrangler that's a little nicer to the planet, it's probably the way to go, plus you get an extra 35 pound-feet of torque over the V6, even if it means sacrificing nearly 20 horsepower. Ford extends shutdown, Stellantis confirms layoffs due to chip shortage
Thu, Apr 22 2021Ford and Stellantis this week announced new production cuts due to the global semiconductor shortage, with popular models including the Ford F-150 and Jeep Grand Cherokee facing cuts. Stellantis plans to temporarily lay off workers at one facility as production is curtailed. According to Automotive News, Ford is extending shutdowns at some of its North American facilities into May. The Blue Oval has been forced to reduce or idle production of both its redesigned F-150 pickup and the popular Explorer due to the chip shortage. The Mustang, Transit, Edge, Lincoln Nautilus and Aviator will also continue to be affected. Stellantis is planning to temporarily lay off workers at a Jeep plant in Detroit during April and May due to a shortage of semiconductor chips. The company will cut two work crews at its Jefferson North plant in Detroit for three weeks starting April 26, then call them back and lay off a third crew from May 17 through the week of May 31, according to a schedule obtained by Bloomberg News. The plant on Detroit’s east side normally operates two shifts with three work crews six days a week to keep it running 20 hours a day. “Stellantis continues to work closely with our suppliers to mitigate the manufacturing impacts caused by the various supply chain issues facing our industry,” company spokeswoman Jodi Tinson said in a statement. “Due to the unprecedented global microchip shortage, Jefferson North will adjust its production schedule through the end of May.” Jefferson North employs about 4,800 hourly workers and makes the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the top-selling Jeep model last year, and the Dodge Durango SUV. A redesigned version of the Grand Cherokee is scheduled to start production in August, according to researcher AutoForecast Solutions. This article contains reporting from Bloomberg.
