1988 Jaguar XJS - V12 with Red Exterior and Beige Leather and Mahogany interior. I purchased this car last year from a private owner in Houston and he stated that when he bought the car the previous owner had kept it garaged and not used for the past eight years. The car body is in excellent condition with no noticeable dents or scratches, the interior is also in excellent condition and the leather seats show very little wear for a car manufactures in 1988. The air conditioner blows really cold and all electrical controls are operational. The engine compartment and trunk are in great condition and both clean and really well maintained. The odometer has 70000 miles I drive the car twice a week and it starts first time and runs great without any issues. I replaced all tires when I purchased the car as it had been stored on the originals for eight years. I am only selling the car as I have to make space in my garage (wife's orders) any inspection welcome. 40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists

Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."
Jaguar takes bite out of Mercedes' Magic Body Control chicken ad
Tue, 17 Dec 2013We were quite impressed by Mercedes-Benz when it aired its Magic Body Control commercial, starring a group suitably funky chickens demonstrating their ability to jive to Diana Ross and the Supremes. Now, Jaguar has taken the opportunity to poke some fun at its German rival, releasing its own take on the Magic Body Control spot, and um, there's a big cat involved.
You'll really want to take a look at this video, which is just another sign that in terms of clever ads, Jaguar is doing quite well. We aren't sure if "Jaguar vs. Chicken" will make it onto TV any time soon, but it's still fun to see the British brand take the mickey out of Mercedes - it's rare to see automakers go after each other so bluntly in their marketing efforts.
