1994 Jaguar Xj6 Xj Excellent Condition Detailed Records Look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
|
Greetings fellow Jaguar fans. I am testing the E-Bay waters with my personal 1994 XJ6 to see if there is a bidder who will appreciate this car. I have been active on E-Bay since 2000 with 100% perfect feedback so rest assured the following description will be accurate and truthful. I have also been repairing and restoring Jaguars for 20 years. I know this car well.
This car was purchased by the late last owner on February 23, 1997 from Cush Jaguar in San Diego, CA. It was a Jaguar Select Edition Certified Pre-Owned car with 23,090 miles. Colors are Ice Blue with Coffee interior, Chrome wheels, and rare sunroof delete option. The car comes with EVERY service receipt from February 97 until today neatly arranged in chronological order in a single 3 ring binder. It is the most comprehensive service history I or anyone else has ever seen. The following is a partial list of service covering the last 6 years or 20000 miles: New tires 1/17 2014. New front wheel bearings. Four wheel alignment. Battery, ATF, trans filter, and gasket. Synthetic motor oil and Wix oil filter. Transmission output shaft seal. Wiper blades. Fuel pump. Fuel pressure regulator. Non return valve. Fuel filter. Sun visor clips. Front shocks and shock mounts. Rear shock mounts. Floor mats. Ignition coil. Coolant temperature sensor. AC charge. Alpine stereo with remote, USB, and AUX inputs. Boot support struts. Battery Tender battery charger. AC system completely overhauled with factory components including hoses. Catalytic converters and O2 sensors. Factory Jaguar. Water pump. Thermostat. Hoses. Belts. All new Bosch relays. Oil sending unit. Alternator. K+N air filter. Power steering hoses and fluid. Brakes. Spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor. ECU. Windshield. Seat belts. Cup holder. The car is in overall excellent condition. It drives as a properly maintained Jag should, and turns heads constantly. The Ice Blue with all the chrome really stands out in a world of plastic cars. 1994 was the last all British Jaguar before Ford heavily influenced the design. The AC is cold, the heat is hot, cruise control works. All lights and horns function as intended. Windows all work and have a medium tint. Absolutely no rust. The car has lived in San Diego and Las Vegas its entire life. By 1994 Jag had these cars extremely well sorted. It never runs hot, even here in Vegas. The car does have its quirks as all Jags do. Here is the list: The remotes don't work. I've disabled the alarm module in the boot because it was eating the battery. The power locks function however. The paint is original and shines beautifully except for the roof. It has faded over time. I chose not to repaint although I was quoted $275 by my paint guy. The headliner is sagging. Common on these cars. The drivers seat has two cracks in the leather and shows some wear. The "Service Engine" light is constantly on despite my best efforts. The code it shows is "Fuel Fail 66" which indicates a fault in the fuel pump wiring harness. Everything works as intended so I just put a small piece of black electric tape over the light rather than pull the bulb. This light has no effect regarding smog testing. The car passes every year with no problem. It occasionally emits a puff of oil smoke when you first start it up. Worn valve guides I'd wager. It uses no oil between changes however and runs like a dream. There is an occasional drip of rear differential fluid on the garage floor. Probably the pinion shaft seal. Again common with these. Overall the car needs nothing to be driven daily or as an addition to a collection. This is by no means a forced sale. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Test drives and inspections are welcome . $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction close. Balance in 7 days. Buyers pays shipping costs. I will help in any way I can. No trades. US bidders ONLY. Car will not be released until payment clears. Car is garaged and driven occasionally so mileage will be slightly higher. |

Jaguar teases E-Pace crossover details - and price under $40K
Wed, Jun 21 2017So it turns out we'll be seeing the fully revealed Jaguar E-Pace much sooner than we expected. Jaguar announced the debut will occur on July 13, so we're less than a month away. The company also provided a teaser of the E-Pace's tail. It shows a fat rear fender and Jaguar's trademark taillight design. While many other companies would be content to release a teaser and nothing else, Jaguar actually provided a number of other interesting details. Among them is the powertrain. It will only be available with gasoline-powered engines and all-wheel drive. We're expecting it to use roughly the same powertrain combinations as the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The other big details are pricing and availability. The baby Jaguar SUV starts at $39,595, which is over $3,000 less than the entry-level F-Pace and the Range Rover Evoque. You'll also be able to bring one home from the dealer next year. Related Video: Image Credit: Jaguar Jaguar Crossover SUV Luxury jaguar e-pace
2020 Jaguar I-Pace Suspension Deep Dive | All kinds of weird and wonderful
Wed, Apr 15 2020I’ve driven the Jaguar I-Pace a handful of times, and it always proves to be an enjoyable experience. In case youÂ’re not up to speed, this is JaguarÂ’s dual-motor all-wheel drive all-electric SUV. ItÂ’s quick, it looks cool in a running shoe sort of way, and it delivers a decent 234 miles of range. Sure, it has its faults, particularly when it comes to the infotainment and climate control layout. But the electric JagÂ’s smooth ride comfort and direct steering feel are clear strong points, and its handling stays nicely balanced and displays sharp reflexes as far as IÂ’ve pushed it. That is to say, a strong pace, but nothing that would land me in jail. The suspension plays a big role in all of this, of course. I wanted to see what theyÂ’d done, so I recently put an I-Pace HSE up on jackstands and took a look underneath. Electric powertrain notwithstanding, I found this to be an utterly weird and fascinating machine.  From this vantage it is easy to see the big air spring (yellow arrow). The use of this type of spring medium allows the I-Pace to run at different heights. It mostly runs at standard height, but can also lower the car at highway speeds to lessen aerodynamic drag. ThereÂ’s an even lower mode to ease the loading of passengers and cargo, along with a raised-height off-road mode because, well, this is theoretically an SUV. It looks like it has a double wishbone front suspension, too, with a high-mount upper arm (green). But we canÂ’t be sure until we move in closer.  With the wheel turned, we can see that this is a double wishbone front suspension in the sense that it has a single ball joint (green) at the bottom. ThereÂ’s lots of nice-looking forged and hollow-cast aluminum bits and pieces, too. But it looks odd in some other respects. The lower arm (yellow), for example, seems to have a joint of some kind in it. Meanwhile, near the top, you can see how the tall upright (or hub carrier, if you like) is curved (red) to provide tire and wheel clearance. Use the wheel studs as a reference point and you can imagine how the tire assembly will nestle into that area.  The shock absorber (green) runs up the middle of what is a doughnut-shaped air chamber. A very tall tower of a doughnut, but you get the idea. But you canÂ’t call this a coil-over. Do I hear bag-over? Anyway, a position sensor (yellow) is connected to the upper arm so the height-control system can regulate itself properly.
Jaguar Land Rover and Chery investing in Chinese plant
Sat, 24 Nov 2012While the European auto market for Jaguar and Land Rover is waning, Chinese car buyers can't get enough of the British marques. To meet that demand, Tata Motors, parent company of Jag and Land Rover, is partnering with Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co.
The two announced plans to invest $1.75 billion to build a new plant and create a new, China-focused brand. 2014 is the target for completion of the factory. Jaguars and Land Rovers built at the facility will be the first ever produced outside the UK according to the Associated Press. The JV will be called Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company Ltd.
The announcement comes less than a month after JLR announced it would open a design studio in China. It's not clear from the reports whether the two announcements are part of the same JV or two separate plans.
