Jaguar Series I, 4.2 Liter, E-type Fixed Head Coupe on 2040-cars
Hanover, Massachusetts, United States
Just in, for restoration, is this barn find Series I, 4.2 liter E-type fixed head coupe. 1965 is the first year the 4.2 liter engine was put into the E-types. You can't find E-types like this car any more. Look at the photos to see how nice and complete the car is excluding the bonnet. All the small detail items i.e. screws are with the car. The interior is the original and it is like it was kept in a time capsule. It actually has some use left in it. The headliner is in good shape and the seats are in good condition. The factory Jaguar seat belts are still in the car. This E-type came from the factory in Jet Black with the red interior. All the Tripex glass is still in the car and in good condition. On top of all this the car starts up and runs when an auxiliary tank of gas is used (the original tank needs to be cleaned out before using). The brakes will need gone through as the car has been sitting for some time . This car is a great example to work with on a restoration. The previous owner had taken the bonnet off to strip it and that's as far as he got. What you see in the pictures is what you get. If you don't see it, it's not here. We will ship worldwide and can assist in obtaining a shipping company. Transport to the port in New Jersey is $400. The car rolls and steers so it can be transported easily. If you have any questions please email or call Dan at 001-781-630-0185.

2013 Jaguar XF 2.0T
Fri, 10 May 2013Jaguar is moving to modernize its XF engine lineup - once the exclusive territory of V8 mills - with a range including a turbo four, a supercharged six and supercharged V8s of various potencies. Personally, I'll miss the combination of this smooth looking and driving XF sedan, and the lazy power of the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter engine, even if the super six has earned some praise in other applications.
The truth is that the four, six, eight lineup for the XF makes a lot of sense, and this 2.0T version of the sedan is far better than I expected it to be. In fact, there's a legitimate argument to be made for it as the XF that works the best for the largest group of customers. Here's why:

Jaguar C-X75 production run canceled
Tue, 11 Dec 2012"We feel we could make the car work, but looking at the global austerity measures in place now, it seems the wrong time to launch an 800,000-pound to 1 million-pound supercar."
Those words are from Jaguar Global Brand Director Adrian Hallmark, and as true as they may be, it still stings a little bit. After all, we've been looking forward to the Jaguar C-X75 ever since word came from Jolly Olde that it was green-lit for a short production run.
Some of the cool bits and pieces the world will now be without: a powerful but relatively miserly 1.6-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine, two electric motors driving all four wheels and a carbon fiber chassis developed by Williams F1. Sigh.
