Up for sale is a nice 2008 Hyundai Tiburon GS with low miles, 52,811. Black Metallic with black interior, factory Kenwood sound system with detachable face and remote control, tilt, cruise, power windows and locks. It has new Riken 205/40Z R17 tires on black powder coated wheels. Our car met up with a guard rail in the rain and sustained the damage that you see here. The car starts and drives, but the tires rub the plastic fender liners. The hood latch still works and the battery ground wire needs replaced. Before the accident the car needed nothing. We are not a car dealer and are unable to repair this car, so our loss is your gain. This car is sold with an Indiana rebuilt title, so you should be able to repair, transfer it. It is no problem in Indiana but it is your responsibility to check your state. The car is in a secure fenced lot and will drive right on your trailer or we have a have a dock that you could drive right on to a flat bed or enclosed semi trailer. Hyundai tops Toyota in annual CarMD Vehicle Health Index
Fri, 06 Dec 2013CarMD has released its third annual Vehicle Health Index, which for the 2013 tracked the frequency and cost of repairs for "check engine" problems of 119-million vehicles built between the 2003 and 2013 model years. For the first two years of the index, Toyota ranked at the top of the list, but this year's results see Hyundai moved to number one, pushing Toyota down a spot.
The Korean automaker's rise to the top has been "fueled by its low repair frequency," according to CarMD. Toyota is second to Hyundai in lowest repair frequency, but Toyotas also have the highest average cost of repair. (Interestingly, General Motors vehicles have the lowest average.) Both Toyota's and Hyundai's manufacturer "health" ratings suffered this year, but Toyota took a bigger hit, which also is what helped Hyundai achieve the top ranking.
While Hyundai is the top manufacturer in the index, the 2012 Toyota Camry is the top vehicle. The best-ranking Hyundai was the 2010 Elantra (behind three Nissan models and four Toyotas), which took the number eight spot. Hyundai has six other vehicles in the top 100.

Hyundai, Los Angeles Times and Consumer Reports in fuel economy skirmish?
Thu, 07 Feb 2013On Wednesday, Consumer Reports issued a story taking umbrage with the auto industry's move toward smaller, turbocharged engines, noting its own testing revealed that many such powerplants fail to deliver their promised fuel economy numbers. The story covered a variety of domestic and foreign automakers, with Ford and Chevrolet featuring prominently in the discussion. Hyundai was also mentioned for its Sonata Turbo, but the Korean automaker's family sedan came within one observed mile per gallon of its EPA ratings in CR's test, and its normally aspirated 2.4-liter counterpart actually beat its combined EPA ratings, 27 mpg to 26.
Good news for Hyundai, right? The automaker was so pleased with its report card that it sent out a small statement to a handful of news outlets including Autoblog, reading in part:
"We at Hyundai believe that Consumer Reports real-world average fuel economy testing results and EPA combined fuel economy results should correlate, and in fact do correlate nicely for some brands. Among all brands, Hyundai does particularly well in this correlation, with no high-volume brand having a better correlation between EPA combined and Consumer Reports real-world fuel economy."
