2000 Honda S2000 Base Convertible 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Painesville, Ohio, United States
The car is clean inside and out. It has been my daily driver for the last 10 months I've owned it. I love the car, but I don't love the debt it put me in to own it (car loan). The car drives and handles just as you imagine it would. It is a grownup Miata on steroids. It currently has 71k miles, with a pristine engine. Oil has been changed every 4-5k miles with castrol gtx w/ syntec. Leather interior is in great condition and the top has no holes or damage. I will also include the seat covers that I got with the car. The vinyl window did crack slightly, and has been patched with clear boat window vinyl patches. The mods to the car are a Tanabe touring dual exhaust, Tanabe strut tower bar, CT Engineering CAI, and an OEM style front lip. Car has not been raced or beaten on. Daily driven, but taken care of.
Here is the only negative about the car, it has a rebuilt title. I bought this car from my buddies shop who repairs insurance auction cars. The car from the previous owner (two owners ago) got into a fender bender, and in turn, the car was considered totaled. The door had slight damage along with the front bumper cover both needing replaced. The door and bumper were both replaced and color matched relatively well (silverstone is a hard cover to color match). I can gather pics of the damage along with possibly source photos of everything being replaced if needed. Both the last owner along with I have taken the best possible care for this beautiful machine. Any questions let me know. I'm either looking to sell or trade for a decent RWD sports car with some cash on your end (depending on what you offer). Car's I am interested in, Bug eye WRX/STi, 2nd Generation Miata's, 300zx Twin-Turbo, Porsche 944/Boxster, etc. Any sort of RWD sports car. Car is being sold as-is with NO current warranty. I will list all defects in the condition's column. Car is still very clean cosmetically for being 14 years old. I will send more pictures upon request, just message me. |

OK Go ride Honda UNI-CUB ? in latest amazeballs music video
Tue, Oct 28 2014When Honda unveiled the slimmed-down ?eta version of its Uni-Cub last year, it might have thought the minimalist electric vehicle would find its most enthusiastic audience inside office buildings, where it would simultaneously lighten the load of worker drones and perhaps inject a bit of rolling robotic tech-type fun into an otherwise drab and dreary day. It was wrong. Clearly, this personal mobility machine was destined for greater things. Honda paid for the new video, which was shot a half-speed. When you watch it, you'll know why. For instance, it could be used for electric unicycle square dancing (Okay, technically the Uni-Cub ? employs one wheel and a caster-type ball, thereby disqualifying it from unicycle status, but whatever.) Or even better, it could be a platform upon which the power pop group OK Go and a few hundred Japanese school girls could perform awesome maneuvers, including the aforementioned electric unicycle square dancing, in their latest totally amazeballs video. Honda reportedly paid for the new video, which was shot at half-speed and when you watch it, you'll know why. Where before we thought this curious device, with its intuitive steering and self-balancing, would only really ever find a place as a demonstrator of Honda's engineering prowess, we now see it as a foregone conclusion that it will infest our daily lives and fill them with fantastic choreographed journeys of art. Thank you for opening our eyes, Ok Go. To have your own eyes opened, just scroll below for the visual accompaniment to I Won't Let You Down from the new album, Hungry Ghosts. As is the band's wont, it's all done in one take, and is sure to drop your jaw. Ok, go! This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
Japanese automakers ramping production for renewed American sales
Wed, 21 Nov 2012The 2011 earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan took quite the toll on the automotive industry in that nation. Not content to lean on that tragedy as excuse for slagging sales, the Japanese automakers are planning on a major production expansion in North America. The aim is to reclaim the market share lost from the Tsunami-based dip, and overcome a dollar/yen exchange rate that makes exporting to America unprofitable.
Following the Tsunami, Japanese automakers ramped up production in their North American facilities to compensate, but according to Automotive News, Nissan, Honda and others have all reported plans for still-further increased production in the year ahead. As part of this ramp-up, Mazda will open a facility in Salamnca, Mexico before March of 2014. Part of that increase in output is 50,000 units of a Toyota-badged compact car, which Mazda will produce.
Other Mexican production facilities opening include a Honda plant, which will open in Spring 2014 in Celaya, and a Nissan plant, set to open later this year in Aguascalientes. Nissan also said that it will need another plant in North America within the next five years. According to Nissan Boss Carlos Ghosn, the company aims to raise its stake in the US market from 8 percent to 10, and adding production will help achieve that goal. Even Mitsubishi is aiming to boost production at its Normal, Illinois plant. Production of the Outlander Sport is currently at 50,000, which Mitsubishi wants to raise to 70,000.
2013 Honda Accord Coupe V6 6MT
Fri, 21 Dec 2012One of the first cars I reviewed for Autoblog was - say it with me now - a 2010 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 w/Navi 6MT, perhaps the rarest of all modern Accord models. I mean, think about it: Of all the different Accord variants on the road, how many are coupes? And how many of those have the larger V6 engine? And how many of those are fully loaded with leather, navigation and all the trimmings? And finally, how many of those have option sheets where the only box that isn't checked is the automatic transmission?
That has to be something like one percent of one percent, right?
So when Honda started rolling its all-new 2013 Accord into the test fleet, I was happy to hear that yet another Coupe EX-L V6 w/Navi 6MT model was available out of the Detroit pool. And while this really isn't the car that serves as the control for judging the entire Accord line, it's still one heck of a sweetheart.
