This is a 1993 Honda Del Sol Si. Runs very strong. Needs some minor body work (small dents and scratches). The car is covered with grey primer so dependent on the buyer, may want to add paint to the car. In the interior, the section that houses the radio needs repairing. Also the section for the cigarette tray needs repairing as well. For the trunk, the trunk supports are inoperable so in order to keep up the trunk, I used the support that holds the roof in place. If that is released, then the trunk will stay up. Also the hood is carbon fiber and needs restoring.
Regarding the engine, the car runs very, very well. The only issue that exists is that there is a small coolant leak. The leak is due to the failed heater core, so the heater core needs replacing. Also the blower for the A/C and heater needs replacing as well. A/C still works. Also, there is no exhaust pipe. However I have purchased a brand new chrome exhaust system that has not been installed as yet. It will be included with the winning bid.
I purchased this car a year ago but because of work and other obligations, I have not been able to bring this car up to speed the way I want it. So instead of sitting in a garage, maybe someone will be able to take advantage of this sweet ride.

Japanese spark plug giant NGK pleads guilty to price fixing, to pay $52M fine
Wed, 20 Aug 2014The ongoing investigation by the Department of Justice into price fixing in the automotive industry has nabbed one more company breaking the law. Japanese parts giant NGK Spark Plug Company agreed to plead guilty to a felony count of pricing fixing and bid rigging in the in the US District Court in Detroit. Its punishment is a $52.1 million criminal fine and to continue to cooperate with the DOJ's sleuthing into the problem.
According to the DOJ, NGK conspired to fix prices on spark plugs, standard oxygen sensors, and air fuel ratio sensors on vehicles from major automakers in the US, including the former DaimlerChrysler, Honda and Toyota, in a scheme that ran from at least January 2000 to July 2011. The charge claimed that the company and its co-conspirators held meetings where they agreed on bids and price quotes that were submitted to the automakers.
With the latest plea, the DOJ has caught 28 companies and 26 executives for price-fixing and bid rigging in the auto parts industry, and they have collected $2.4 billion in criminal fines. Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.
