I'm selling my 1997 Honda CR-V, automatic, 163K miles. This is my daily driver so the milage will change slightly. Here is a list of the features:
All-time All Wheel Drive (GREAT in the snow!) Power windows Power locks Power sunroof Factory roof rack Cloth seating CD/DVD/Blutooth head unit w/ 7" touchscreen Rear backup camera (I haven't installed it yet but intend to do so before the sale) Tons of cargo space Here is a list of new parts I've installed in the past month (and I have the paperwork to back this up): New wiper blades and rain-x treatment New upper control arms New front axels New front brakes (discs and pads) New rear brakes (drum, shoe and springs) (I have the parts but still need to install) 4 new tires Now this is a 17 year old car and being sold AS-IS, it will need further work to pass inspection, just so you know what you're getting into. I haven't had this car long, it was my first Honda and I'm just not really digging it. I start grad school in a month and looking for the cash to help with living expenses. Looking to get $3300 obo. Honda Vezel is the Fit crossover we've been waiting for
Wed, 20 Nov 2013"Vezel" may sound like the latest miracle cure from Big Pharma, but in truth it's the long-awaited Fit-based crossover from Honda. Unfortunate name aside, this four-door CUV looks ready for production, because it is.
Shown here in hybrid guise, the subcompact Vezel looks quite sporty, with boldly upswept sheetmetal contours, an aggressively raked backlight, "hidden" rear doorhandles borrowed from the JDM Civic hatchback, and an expressive face with LED headlamps.
Honda is presently confirming that the Vezel will go on sale in both hybrid and gas-only guise in Japan, but it isn't offering anything in the way of specifications other than to say that both models will make use of a 1.5-liter direct-injected engine, the "Sport Hybrid i-DCD" powertrain of course getting a "high-output motor" of unspecified power and what could be a dual-clutch transmission. Honda has declined to make clear whether this is the new 1.5-liter turbocharged VTEC engine we told you about yesterday, but it's a good bet that it is indeed the same new Earth Dreams powerplant. Critically, there's no mention of whether all-wheel drive will be offered.
Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
Honda could halve its US lineup without crimping its sales much [w/video]
Sat, 18 May 2013Taking a detailed look at the Honda lineup in the US, it isn't hard to see the strength of some models and the weaknesses of others. A recent report on Autoline Daily points out that its five core models - the Accord, Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Pilot - make up a full 93 percent of Honda's sales in the US. Through April, Honda has sold 419,798 vehicles, and 389,474 of them were from these core models; not to mention the fact that the Accord was the top-selling car in the US last month.
This means that Honda could technically cut six of its 11 models and only lose about 5,000 sales per month. Of course, this is just some data crunching and there is no reason to believe that Honda is planning to kill off any of its models in the near future. In fact, it seems to be committed to the Ridgeline, while Japanese-made models that may actually lose money for Honda still fill unique voids.
