Here we have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd with the legendary 6.6l Duramax diesel and being a 2006 it is the first year with the Allison 6 speed transmission this truck has heated leather seats power windows, locks, power mirrors with turn signals in them, CD player, and a reese hitch. It also has a 6 inch pro comp lift professionally installed with a brand new set of 18 inch moto metal 962 wheels and brand new 37 inch toyo open country m/t tires both with less than 100 miles on them the front bumper has been trimmed a little to accommodate the huge tires it had a full alignment once i put the new wheels on. As fas as performance it has the stock exhaust which has been straight piped and a cold air intake the seats are in good condition this truck has never been off road and it was well taken care of it has very very low miles for a diesel it only has 100k miles it doesnt have any dents and minimal scratches, the bottom plastic piece that goes under the drivers seat is missing and the chrome trim on the side of the truck is bubbling. So if you're looking for a nice truck that will last you a very very long time look no further here it is and it is sure to turn some heads in town. Pickup sales may hit 2M units for first time since 2007
Sat, 21 Sep 2013Even as fuel prices creep back up, trucks are still a hot item among new-vehicle shoppers. To see how popular pickup trucks still are, you don't have to look any further than how much effort automakers put into the continual one-upmanship of their trucks. Backing this fact up, USA Today is reporting that the segment could top two million sales this year - a total not matched since 2007, though still far from the pre-recession, three-million-unit levels.
Through August, the Ford F-Series continues to be the segment leader with almost 500,000 units sold, but the Chevy Silverado (328,269), Ram 1500 (234,642), GMC Sierra (122,232) and Toyota Tacoma (110,293) are all seeing at least 20-percent sales increases, helping to account for around 1.44 million truck sales so far this year - not including possible outliers like the Suzuki Equator and Chevy Avalanche.
This year alone, General Motors has completely redesigned its fullsize trucks, Ram and Toyota have significantly updated their offerings, the next-gen Ford F-150 will be out next year and Nissan is promising an all-new Titan around the same time with an eventual Cummins diesel under the hood. It would seem, then, that truck sales are poised to continue their upward trend.
GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
