Up for auction is my 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT. I am selling it as I am getting a four door model. I have owned it since new. It is in excellent condition as you can tell from the photos and has always been garage kept. It has been very well maintained by me as I am a professional mechanic. The engine runs great and has never given me any problems. The transmission performs great and has no problems. The A/C works great. All fluid changes and general servicing have been done by me at specified intervals. I have always used synthetic motor oil. The only unscheduled maintenance done was a new fuel pump I installed a few years ago. It has been a very dependable truck. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, anytime, any distance. I just put a set of new BFG Long Trail T/A Tour tires on it 448 miles ago. It has never been involved in any type of accident. The truck has always been in central Texas so there is no rust. The paint is in good condition with only normal flaws expected with a 13 year old truck. It was my daily driver for quite a few years mostly going back and forth to work. It has a locking tailgate. It has a large DU-HA storage box under the rear seat. Included is a Ranch Hand Grill Guard and mounting hardware but not installed. 2015 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon airbag problem causes recall

The recall affects 2,432 vehicles, though only 138 had actually reached consumers.
General Motors quickly fixed an airbag-wiring problem with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, but is still conducting a small recall to repair the midsize trucks that are launching this fall.
GM recalling Silverado and Sierra HD diesel pickups over fuel gauge follies
Fri, 03 Jan 2014General Motors is recalling 9,733 of its heavy-duty twins over concerns with their 6.6-liter diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. The recall covers some Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from model years 2012 and 2013, although the exact dates that the recalled trucks were built isn't specified. There's also no mention of how many models come from Chevrolet and how many are from GMC.
The problem rests with the transfer pump responsible for moving fuel from the rear tank to the front tank - it could fail, resulting in an inaccurate fuel gauge. It hardly requires explaining, but a faulty fuel gauge could leave drivers in a situation where they run out of diesel.
GM will begin notifying customers of affected vehicles, who will be asked to report to their dealers for a free replacement transfer pump.
GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
