Okay, this vehicle is probably not going to sell because of what the vehicle means to me but I figured I would list it just to see if somebody has a bigger interest than me.

First off, the car is going to need another clean car to build. The entire car is rust rust and more rust. The entire underneath is ruined including the torques. It's going to take a true surgeon to bring this car back to life. But where theres a will theres a way I guess. The fenders are shot, doors are shot, quarters shot, trunk shot, wheel wells shot. THE BODY IS TOAST this is not for the faint of heart.

On for the good on the car. How many chances are you going to get to buy a barn find 71 grabber blue cobra these days, matching numbers at that! Car has original engine, with every correct accessory, carb, heads, valve covers, distributor, shroud you name it they are the ones that came on the car new. Has the original transmission and nodular rear end also. Interior is nice, perfect package tray, like practicaly a NOS dashpad, nice door panels and a really really nice console. The car has a super nice grille with only one crack and no missing pieces WITH THE COBRA EMBLEM.  The bezels arent pitted either. Most chrome on the car doesnt need rechromed in my opionion other than the bumpers. This car even has the correct air cleaner. Did you notice the little emblem on the hood that says ford? Most restored 71's dont have that its impossible to find and this car even has that.

So all the hard to find parts are here and its matching numbers in grabber blue with rear window louvers. VERY VERY ATTRACTIVE car. Not to mention the factory laser stripe the car was a looker. Open to cash offers!!!! 260-306-1375 Real offers as I know what the car could be parted for which I will not do so don't ask. As seen in pics car even has the jack...How rare is that? Car has engine id tag and buck tag. I have the original warranty card and a little other stuff. Clean title guys!!! LETS JUST REMEMBER THIS CAR IS AS ROUGH METAL WISE AS YOU CAN IMAGINE. So don't bid unless you know what your up for. Hood is rust free and decklid is very useable.

This is my dream car so its going to take the right buyer/offer to sell. Thanks.

Michigan museum offers Model T driving classes

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

Halfway between Detroit and Chicago, there is a car museum that gives visitors a unique level of interaction with antique cars. The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI has a driver's training class to teach people of any age to learn how to drive a Ford Model T.
From the crank starter to the column-mounted throttle control, this driving school teaches people all there is to know about driving and operating a Model T. Each class lasts about two and a half hours and is only open to 18 students. There are ten sessions planned for 2014 - twice a day on May 3, June 22, July 22, August 23 and September 14. The class costs $95 (or $85 for members), and it also includes a tour of the museum's automobile collection.
In addition to this driving school, the museum has plenty of exhibits on the property, and it's open all but three days per year (Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day) with free admission for school field trips and active military. Be sure to check out the Gilmore Car Museum's website or visit them on Facebook for more info.

This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like

Sat, 12 Oct 2013

Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.

Ford readying 2015 F-150 drift truck for SEMA

Sun, 19 Oct 2014

Between the Mustangs you'd find in Formula D and the Fiestas in the Global and World rallycross championships, there's no shortage of Ford drift cars on the scene. But at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Blue Oval automaker intends to show off a different kind of drift machine.
Created in collaboration with driftmeister Vaughn Gittin, Jr., this custom F-150 has been designed for "on- and off-road capabilities, as well as drifting and jumping." It's got a suspension with components from Kibbetech King and Air Lift Performance to give it 12 inches of travel and comes packed with 5 Recaro seats. Other details remain limited, but if the rendering above is anything to go by, it ought to be pretty awesome.
Alongside the Gittin truck, Ford will also be showcasing another F-150 designed together with freestyle motorcross rider Brian Deegan, packing the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and a long list of enhancements. Between these two trucks, Ford hopes to extend its winning streak for the Hottest Truck award that it's taken four years running now. Feel free to read more in the press release below.
