Thanks  Ron  3475963867   .

I am not a Ford expert but  I am willing to listen to what everybody has to say about the car. A gentleman shared some information with me about the car. Saying that my 1969 Ford Torino GT Fastback  is a M car according to the Vin. # and that will make it a Windsor instead of Cleveland . But the original owner told me when I was buying the car that it was a 351 Cleveland It maybe more valuable. But a price is a price and I won't change it because of that .The car needs a lot of work and it is not for an Amateur body man  doing his first restoration This car is not for you. The car needs to be sandblasted or whatever method you wanna go with. Again everything is there  to start up with. I encourage more Questions  and I will do my very best to answer them as soon as I can . I have people coming to look at the car and  If anyone is serious the car will be sold. I will entertain all offers but I won't let it go for cheap . Please do not come by to insult me with ridiculous offers. I do not have to sell the car. I don't have any sad stories to tell about my wife wants the car out of the garage Nothing like that I honestly want the car to go to someone who knows the value of These bad ass cars. And again I am sorry for the inconvenience about A Cleveland or Windsor engine. It doesn't change anything for me. If successful car must be paid in full .No Paypal  No personal Checks .Cash Only This is the one and the last time this car will be for Sale. I am trying the market to see how People respond to it. I will not accept any offers after the Auction ends. Thanks Again

Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:

Ford board pushing Mulally for decision amidst fears story is drowning out other news

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Automakers and their executives rarely like to divulge information regarding future goings on, but the board of directors at Ford sound like they're getting a little antsy about chief executive officer Alan Mulally and his plans for 2014.
According to Reuters, as news of Mulally's possible departure to Microsoft continues to swirl, Ford's board is looking to push the affable executive to make a decision about his future sooner rather than later. Apparently, the board is growing concerned that this will-he/won't-he drama may end up distracting the media from covering Ford's other big news events next year - items like the debut of key all-new products like the Mustang and F-150.
So far, the picture for Mulally's eventual successor remains fuzzy, but it's understood that the leading candidate remains the company's chief operating officer, Mark Fields. Just recently, we heard that Mulally will stay until the end of 2014, but a few months ago, Ford seemed open to the idea of him stepping down earlier than that.
