COOL!...THAT'S THE RESPONSE I GET, EVERYWHERE I GO IN THIS CAR. LOT'S OF THUMBS-UP AND CAMERA SHOTS TOO. NOT TO MENTION "WHAT KIND OF CAR IS THAT?"
THIS CAR IS A LOT OF FUN. I CALL IT A MODERN/RETRO ROD.

IT'S A KIT THAT CONVERTS T-BIRDS INTO 49 FORDS. A COMPLETE BOLT ON FRONT END AND A SPLICE ON REAR END. SO YOU HAVE ALL THE COMFORTS OF A NEWER CAR, WITH ALL THE COOL, OF A OLDER CAR. SO GETTING PARTS AND SERVICE IS EASY BECAUSE IT'S A '93 T-BIRD. BODY PARTS ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY TOO. SO ONE CAN REST ASSURED TO OWNING THIS CAR AND ENJOY DRIVING IT AROUND, INSTEAD OF KEEPING IT IN THE GARAGE AS SOME RARE CLASSIC, ONLY GETTING IT OUT FOR SUNDAY DRIVES OR CAR SHOWS. WITH THIS CAR YOU CAN DO THE SAME AND THEN SOME.

MY WIFE AND I RECENTLY TOOK THE CAR TO LAS VEGAS, WHAT A HOOT THAT WAS, WE GOT TREATED LIKE ROYALTY. MOST BUSINESSES LET US PARK UP FRONT IN VIP SPACES. THE CAR WOULD GET THE LOOKS AND HAVE A CLOSE EYE ON IT TOO. "YEAH, ELVIS DROVE THAT." LOL

SO, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO GET THIS BEAUTIFUL CAR. I'M A CATCH AND RELEASE GUY. I GET THEM, FIX EM-UP, ENJOY THEM, THEN MOVE ON TO ANOTHER EXPERIENCE. IT'S TEMPTING TO HANG ON TO IT. I'M IN NO BIG HURRY TO SELL IT. BUT, I CANT KEEP-EM ALL.

THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT! IT LOOKS GREAT TOO. SHOWS NORMAL WEAR DUE TO USE. A FEW SCRATCHES IN THE PAINT. THE INTERIOR LOOKS GREAT!.. LIKE NEW! THE CAR GOT 25MPG ON THE TRIP TO LAS VEGAS. CRUISED 80MPH AT 2500RPM

I DO MY BEST TO DESCRIBE THE CAR, SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME A CALL, AT 801-718-4329 LYLE.

I WILL WORK WITH OUT OF THE COUNTRY BUYERS, HELP THEM TO GET IT SHIPPED. BUT IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET IT SET-UP WITH THEIR BROKER.

BID WITH CONFIDENCE...I HAVE 100% FEEDBACK

DON'T PASS UP THIS OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A COOL CAR,  YOU'LL BE PROUD TO SHOW AND HAVE IN YOU GARAGE.

Ex-GM VP LaNeve takes over Lincoln ad agency

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Those of you that caught yesterday's op-ed about Lincoln will have heard already, but Mark LaNeve has taken the helm at Team Detroit. Once the North American vice president of sales, service and marketing for General Motors, LaNeve will now head up the agency that handles all of Ford advertising. LaNeve will also run the account for Lincoln. While at GM from 2001 to 2009, the exec oversaw ad campaigns like Cadillac's Breakthrough and sales initiatives like "Employee Pricing for Everyone."
He left in 2009 to join Allstate as chief marketing officer, oversaw the creation of the Mayhem ad spots and was moved into the role of VP of agency operations overseeing Allstate's 10,000 agents. He resigned from the insurer in February 2012 for personal reasons and joined Team Detroit in August 2012 as chief operating officer, in charge of satellite offices in New York and internationally. He replaces ex-CEO Cameron McNaughton, and will continue to hold the title of COO.
Lincoln is trying to get its 2013 back to rights after putting big dollar commercials for the 2013 MKZ on television then having production glitches preventing cars from getting to dealerships. With rumors of a relaunch in the works, it's no surprise LaNeve has been given the reins - and from here it looks like the brand is desperate for the kind of magic he's proved he can marshal. Perhaps he can start by calling a mulligan on the renaming exercise that gave us the hoary "Lincoln Motor Company" and go back to oh, say, "Lincoln." Then he can ask the product folks to get to work on the MKC concept...

Ranking full-size pickup trucks by the size of their discounts

Tue, Oct 20 2020

Each and every month, full-size pickup trucks dominate the new-car sales reports in America. It's been that way for years — the Ford F-Series has been America's best-selling vehicle for 38 consecutive years — and it's not going to change any time soon. With that in mind, we've compiled this list of discounts on brand-new full-size pickup trucks using data provided by Truecar, including their average retail prices, average transaction prices and discounts in dollars and percentage off list price. We've also created a visualization of the best deals Americans are scoring on the three best-selling models in America. If you're looking for the absolute biggest discount you can find on a new truck, look no further than your nearest Ram dealership, then scour the lot for a leftover 2019 1500 model. Buyers are averaging nearly 13% off the cost of the 2019 Ram, paying an average transaction cost of $41,667. That's $6,071 off the average retail price, which equals the best truck deal in October. The 2020 edition isn't discounted nearly as far, averaging $2,852 off for an average transaction price of $48,904. The next best deal is on the 2019 Ford F-150; its average transaction price of $43,064 equals $3,843 off its sticker price. The 2020 F-150's $2,810 discount means buyers are paying around $47,300. They should know, though, that a brand-new model is coming for 2021, so we'd expect bigger discounts on remaining 2020 inventory in the coming months. Moving to General Motors, the best deal you'll find is on leftover 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500s, which are selling for an average of $47,043. That's $2,852 off the sticker price. Interestingly, 2020 Silverados are seeing slightly lower transaction prices at $46,009, but with a smaller average discount of $1,693. The 2020 GMC Sierra is mechanically similar to the Chevy, but aimed at buyers who want a bit more luxury. That's reflected in the 2020 Sierra 1500's average transaction price of $54,491, which is $2,131 off its sticker. If pickup trucks aren't your thing, take a look at this list of the best new car deals in America based on the percentage discount off their suggested asking prices here. In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Electric, John Beltz Snyder. This week, we discuss the North American Car, Truck and Utility of the year winners: The Toyota Prius, Kia EV6 and Ford Super Duty (and Greg explains his votes). In other news, we talk about GM offering $7,500 incentives for EVs that lost their tax credits, another possible calendar change for the Detroit Auto Show and Stellantis potentially scaling back its auto show presence. Greg spent his winter break with the Genesis GV60 and Polestar 2, while John has been driving the Toyota Prius Prime and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63. Finally, they take to Reddit for this week's Spend My Money question, and pick a sedan under $6,000. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
