YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1992 FORD THUNDERBIRD SUPER COUPE 3.8L SC. I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. I HAD THE CAR PAINTED LAST YEAR PROFESSIONALLY BY THE FORD DEALER I WORK AT. THE PAINT CODE IS UG - PLATINUM WHITE PEARL METALLIC. IT IS A TRI COAT PEARL, VERY PRETTY COLOR. THE ONLY ISSUE WITH THE CAR IS THAT THE DASHBOARD ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE IS CRACKED. I HAVE A MINT CONDITION DASHBOARD THAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE CAR IF YOU CHOOSE TO FIX IT. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH BLOWN HEAD GASKETS. WHILE WORKING AT FORD AS A TECHNICIAN I REPLACED BOTH CYLINDER HEADS, USED ARP RACING HEAD STUDS AND FASTENERS. THE BOTTOM END DID NOT GET AFFECTED BY THE HEAD GASKETS BEING BLOWN. THE ENGINE RUNS EXCELLENT. IT ALSO HAD A BLOW AOD4 AUTOMATIC ORIGINALLY, I ENDED UP PUTTING A M5R2 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND PEDAL ASSEMBLY DIRECT FIT INTO THE CAR FROM A DONOR T-BIRD I OWNED. THE CAR IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND IS LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME AND OWNER TO DRIVE IT. I DO NOT HAVE THE NEED FOR A TWO DOOR CAR ANYMORE BECAUSE THE FAMILY IS GETTING BIGGER. Mercury rises around sexy Cougar pack
Sat, May 30 2015With a slightly larger body and a more luxurious interior, the Mercury Cougar doesn't carry quite as much cachet among pony car enthusiasts as the venerable Ford Mustang. But don't try to make that argument around Cougar super-fan Mike Brown. Since starting his Cougar collecting in 1988, Brown has become an absolute expert on the model, and he claims to have owned 400 of the Mercury pony cars in that time. Ten of them are in his collection today, not to mention a heap of spare parts in the garage.
