Up for auction is a beautiful 1962 Ford Ranchero. It has a 200 6 cylinder, that sounds very nice and runs smooth. 4 speed manual transmission. I looked up how many of these there were and was blown away. Only .6% of the 24000 made were 4 speeds. Interior on this vehicle is like new and shows very well. Carpet is clean, seats look great with no rips or tears, door panels look great. Dash has no cracks at all. Paint is new and looks incredible. As with any used car if you look close you will see a small imperfection if you look close but for the most part the paint is very very nice!! I was told the Ranchero came with a 170 but a few years ago previous owner replaced it with the 200. It has new exhaust, suspension. Carb was just rebuilt and vehicle comes with an extra one. I can see one very small bubble in the paint that looks likes rust but its too small to where it wont show up in a pic. Other than that the body looks great! I have never driven a 4 speed ranchero so it could be me but at times it seems a little difficult to get this one into first gear. Previous owner told me he had just done some work and it may need to be adjusted. Reserve is set VERY low on this car, this was out of my personal collection and I recently had an opportunity present itself which is the only reason for the sell of this car. Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
