2000 Ford Lightning on 2040-cars
Piedmont, Oklahoma, United States
Just had headers put on, and new interior. The carpet, and seat covers are black. Has a carbon fiber wrapped hood2000 Ford Lightning. Very nice truck. Extremely fast and powerful. Runs great, looks great. . The transmission was and engine are new/rebuilt by previous owner. Body has about 68,000 miles on it. Few minor scratches, nothing major. Worst is on front bumper driver side. Barely visible in picture. Has shaved door handles, but the driver side button is messed up on key pad. Truck also has dark tent, dry nitrous tank, and alarm. Has aftermarket Spyder LED headlights. This truck is a great running and looking truck. I have clean title. Minor problems with truck, are crack in windshield on driver side near the edge. AC is working, but not blowing cool air. Was told it needs a new hose and to be recharged. Shaved door handle needs a little work on key pad. Have 20 inch rims, that upon purchase can be negotiated. If interested I can text u a pic. Auction is low since truck needs a minor matanence.

This unique '64 Mustang was Edsel Ford II's first car
Thu, 02 Jan 2014You probably had the same dream when you were a teenager. Your sixteenth birthday is coming up, or Christmas, or maybe both, and all you want is a muscle car to call your own. That dream has come true for some, and one of them was none other than Edsel Ford II.
Henry Ford's great grandson turned 16 on December 27, 1964 - two days after Christmas and eight months after the original Mustang went on sale. And that's just what was waiting for him in the driveway, courtesy of his father (and reigning chief executive) Henry Ford II.
The specially-prepared pony car had a pearlescent cream paintjob with narrow blue racing stripes, functional hood scoop, chrome trim, Euro-spec fender-mounted mirrors, a blue leather and aluminum interior, a monogrammed fuel cap... and a 289-cubic-inch V8 under the hood.
Ford recalling nearly 700k Escape CUVs, C-Max hybrids over two separate safety issues
Fri, 09 May 2014Poor Escape. Ever since its launch in 2012, Ford's small CUV has been the subject of many, many, many recalls. And today, The Detroit News is reporting that Ford is adding two more recalls to the 2013-14 model year Escape's permanent record, one of them also involves the C-Max hybrid hatchback.
The first recall, covering 692,500 Escape and C-Max vehicles, is due to a software glitch that could cause the airbags - specifically, the safety canopy - to not deploy in a timely fashion during rollover crashes. According to the News, Ford says no crashes or injuries have been reported in relation to this problem.
The second recall, covering 692,700 Escapes, is related to the door handles. The News reports that the exterior door handles could open while the vehicle is in motion, and could also fail to latch properly. Once again, no crashes or injuries have occurred because of this. The National Highway Safety Traffic Administration has not issued an official notice on either recall as of this writing.
Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."
