1950 Ford F1 * Short Bed Pickup * Flathead V8 * No Reserve * Manual Trans on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, New York, United States
I'm selling my 1950 Ford F-1 Short Bed Pickup. It has the numbers matching flathead V8 and matching 3 speed manual transmission. It runs perfectly, starts right up, idles like a sewing machine, the clutch is great, and the brakes stop on a dime. I converted it to 12 Volts and installed a brand new starter, alternator, coil, wiring, etc... The original Magic Air heater and vents all work flawlessly. It was painted inside and out a couple of years ago and looks absolutely beautiful with no rust or rot anywhere on the truck. It also has a brand new wooden bed floor, that was lightly stained and urethaned for a long lasting finish. The interior is all brand new as well and looks fantastic. This pickup truck will put a smile on anybodys face. It is turn-key and ready for a cruise to the car show (to pick up a few trophies!). Call me at 347-538-7534 with any questions or offers, or to make arrangements to see the truck in person. |

Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems
Sun, 10 Mar 2013The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.
Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.
