I purchased this truck just over a year ago with the intentions of adding whatever it took to get it going I.E.- the drivetrain-Engine-Trans- and/glass/interior-etc...etc. However my health now forces me to sell this truck. This is a rare Panel truck. I don't Have allot of knowledge on the truck as it has pretty much sat for the last year. How you see it is how I got it.

History that I know: It was worked on in Ohio-sold in Minnesota and I bought it there.

I am posting a few pictures. The tail lights and 3rd light as you can see are Frenched in. The hood-springs and grille look new- the firewall and front floor seemingly are replaced with what I believe are 'bitchin' products. The Rear Diff. I believe is from a Corvette- currently with a mono leaf spring. Disc Brakes up front- will need completion of parts- etc.

Truck needs to be completed- hardware/door regulators-dash gauges- harness--Engine/Trans-Driveshaft. This is an excellent project to start with- When was the last time you saw a 40 Ford panel truck-? There is a tray built (formed) into the back just inside the back doors.

Disclaimers: Ask Questions Before Bidding-Sold as is- No warranty implied or expressed-The sale can end at any time as I am listing it locally. Buyer to pay all shipping costs. The truck is not registered. I have the title in my name-It will not leave till the truck is paid for. Look at the pictures and contact me with any questions- I don't see a number punched into this frame-from 1940-$1000.00 non refundable due within 24 Hours and balance within 5 days-NO PAYPAL-

Toyota again claims Corolla outsold Focus worldwide

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Toyota isn't convinced the Ford Focus was the best-selling nameplate globally last year. Bloomberg reports that for the second time in seven months, both Toyota and Ford are laying claim to the title. Ford cites R.L. Polk & Co. data that says the automaker moved some 1.02 million Focus models in 2012 compared to just 872,774 Toyota Corolla units. But Toyota says the actual figure is closer to 1.16 million Corolla models.
Last year, Ford said it took the sales crown through the fist half of 2012 based on information from IHS Automotive, but Toyota pointed out those numbers left out models like the Corolla-based Matrix and Auris, as well as the Corolla Fielder and Scion xB-based Corolla Rumion. Whether or not Toyota's belief that all these cars should be counted in the Corolla bucket is accurate or not is seemingly up for debate... as is the question of why it matters so much to both parties.
This time around, Ford is holding the line that the Focus is the "best-selling nameplate," with Erich Merkle, a US sales analyst with Ford saying the company's figure is, "a pure number that is verified by a third party." Toyota, meanwhile, has requested clarification from Polk.

2014 Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Ford Mustang

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

If you're a fan of Ford racing history, a Mustang worshiper or even just an avid follower of our yearly SEMA coverage, you may have heard the back story on the Race Red Mustang you see above. Back in 1964, Holman & Moody was tapped by the English Alan Mann Racing Team to race-prep three Mustangs for competition in the incredibly arduous 4,000-mile Tour de France Automobile rally. Competing mainly against Jaguar MkII saloons over 10 days and 17 stages, the H&M Mustangs took the top two places in the Touring class and the first-ever racing win for Ford's pony car.
Though the history of that first Mustang win hasn't been incredibly well known here in the States, the subsequent decades have seen plenty of racy versions of the car come and go. Last year at the SEMA show, we covered the brief debut of this living tribute to that piece of racing lore, the Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Mustang.
This limited-edition Mustang represents a kind of new venture for H&M, as the legendary racing shop has spent the last few decades earning its keep largely by restoring vintage racing cars. The urge to get back into the world of Ford and Mustang was powerful, however, what with the car's 50th anniversary looming and the current generation of 'Stang just about out the door.

Ford tells Congress it collects and protects some driver data

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

Last month Ford's Jim Farley made waves at the CES when it was reported he told show attendees, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone." Farley and Ford later partially retracted and clarified that statement.
Spurred by a desire for further transparency on data collection policies, Ford representatives answered questions from Congress, specifically Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), about driver privacy.
The Detroit News reports that Ford told Congress it does collect some vehicle location data in an effort to "troubleshoot and improve our products" on behalf of the driver. Ford went on to say that it only collects limited data after receiving permission from owners.
