2017 Ford Mustang Shelby Gt350 Coupe 2-door on 2040-cars

There are faster cars than the Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 and there are, perhaps, a few better handling cars too.
However there is nothing currently on the market that provides a better combination of both attributes at anything
approaching the Mustang's price. More than any other supercar the Shelby feels animate, of being more than just an
assemblage of steel, alloy, plastics and rubber. It's this feeling of being alive, willing and eager, almost as if
it's on the driver's side that makes the Shelby so endearing and gives it such personality - an attribute that's
unfortunately missing from most of today's supercars and which, unlike the Mustang, is why they're not much fun in
everyday use.
This car was delivered with ten miles showing on the odometer in Los Angeles during November 2016 and the balance
of its original warranty remains. The owner is an engineer who is also a skilled competition driver and aerobatic
pilot. He is meticulous in the extreme and it's fair to say that the car is in its original showroom condition. No
one else has ever driven it. The intention was to keep the Shelby for some time and it's only for sale because a
long hoped for car has suddenly become available.
All of the keys and documentation that accompanied the car at delivery go with it and the balance of the twelve
month (expensive) California registration is included too. It used to be expected that California collector cars
had not been driven in the rain but this has been an unusually wet winter for us. Nevertheless this Shelby has only
been driven on dry roads and it really is in the condition that one hopes for yet rarely finds.
GIVE IT A TRY! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

Ford recalls 600,000 older-model sedans for braking issue
Fri, Dec 20 2019Ford is recalling 600,166 older-model Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles over an issue that could affect braking and increase the risk of a crash. The safety recall covers certain Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln MKZ sedans from the 2006 through 2010 model years that were built at Ford’s Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico between Feb. 22, 2006, and July 15, 2009. Ford says a valve that is normally closed inside the hydraulic control unit may get stuck in the open position or be slow to close, which could make it harder to engage the brakes and increase risk of a crash. Ford says itÂ’s aware of 15 reports of accidents and two injuries possibly related to the issue. Dealers will inspect the hydraulic control unit for signs of the problem and replace it, if necessary. The dealers will pressure-flush the system with brake fluid and replace the reservoir cap with a new one. Ford is also issuing a small recall of 33 of its 2020 F-150 trucks in the U.S. and 51 in Canada over potentially damaged spare tires. It says the bead area on the tires may have been damaged when it was mounted onto the wheel assembly, leaving it vulnerable to corrosion, separation of the bead wire and ultimately a rapid loss of air pressure and detachment from the wheel. Dealers will replace the spare tire. Affected vehicles were built at the Dearborn Truck Plant from Nov. 10-21 of this year.
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]
Tue, 14 Jan 2014With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track
Sun, 10 Mar 2013We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.
