The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This is a 2 owner car (me being the second) and is in amazing shape. the car has never been in an accident, raced, smoked in. the exterior is flawless with the exception of a couple minor rocks chips on the front bumper that youll only notice on your knees with youre looking for them. not dings, dents, or scratches. the interior is in excellent shape as well. very very minor wear on one side of the driver seat bolster. other than that there are no stains, rips, or tears in any of the seats. no one has ever sat in the rear seat of this vehicle.the car is sold AS IS, meaning no warranty. thank you."

The car currently only has 8,400 miles, yes 8,400. The mods listed below were all installed at around 7,000 miles. Since I purchased the car it has always been garaged and handwashed with some of the best products (Adam’s car care). The car was NEVER smoked in since day one by either myself or the original owner. The interior/exterior are pretty Flawless, no dings, dents, scratches, rips, or stains. The car has never seen the dragstrip, donuts, or anything of that nature. I had it dynoed at The Dyno Works in Milwaukee by tuner Steve. He did an amazing job spending a lot of time on it to get things dialed in. the car made 819WHP but he scaled it back a little for the extra safety factor. It sits making 792WHP 714FT LBS at 19 degrees timing on E85. The car runs and drives great for a near 800hp machine, just don’t except this operate like a 2013 Lexus LoL. The reason for selling is me and the wife plan to build a house so this would free up some debt allowing us to. I do still owe on the car but nowhere near what my asking price is, so it will be a fairly easy transaction. I can arrange car transportation and get a fair price on it through one of my buddies if needed. I really hope someone that’s serious enough will take the totality of everything on the car into consideration. The super low mileage, price of all the modifications and so on. KBB has the car listed right around $25K. I have invested close to $35K in modifications alone (i have receipts for most everything if wanted). That is $60K not including any labor at all!! Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask by either PM, phone (262-617-2073) or email me at miclo8004@yahoo.com

Junkyard Gem: 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis LS

Sat, Jan 21 2023

Ford's now-defunct Mercury Division first began using the Marquis name in 1967, on a sporty full-size hardtop based on the Ford LTD, then began offering the Grand Marquis beginning in the 1979 model year. These big, boxy luxury sedans were replaced by big, curvy luxury sedans (on the same platform) starting with the 1992 model year, so today's Junkyard Gem is one of the very last squared-off Grand Marquises ever built. The 1991 Grand Marquis (or "Grandma Keith," as many refer to it today) looks nearly identical to its 1979 predecessor at a glance, just as the 2011 model doesn't differ much from the 1992 model. Ford saw no reason to follow short-lived fashion trends with its simple, sturdy rear-wheel-drive sedan. Only two Grand Marquis trim levels were available for 1991: the base GS and the (somewhat) upscale LS. The former listed at $18,741 and the latter at $19,241, which comes to about $41,494 and $42,601, respectively, in inflated 2022 dollars). This interior would have seemed comfortingly familiar to a 1968 (or even 1958) Mercury owner time-traveling to 1991.  This is the optional "full grain leather seating surface," which cost an extra $489 (about $1,083 today). Dig those opera lights! Air conditioning was standard equipment in the 1991 Grand Marquis and its wagon counterpart, the Colony Park. The engine is the good old pushrod 5.0-liter Windsor V8, which would be replaced by a far more modern 4.6-liter SOHC mill in the '92 Grand Marquis. This engine was rated at 180 horsepower. A four-speed automatic was the only transmission available. The early 1990s ended up being the last gasp for padded vinyl roofs being considered mainstream equipment on new Detroit cars; this one was called the "Formal Coach" roof and cost an additional 725 bucks ($1,605 now). Such roofs were still available on a few cars later in the decade, but their time had passed. Why would such a clean Grandma Keith end up in a place like this? That's easy: it got T-boned directly into the right front wheel, mangling the body and bending up the suspension. This damage might have been worth fixing when the car was five years old, but it's a write-off when it happens to a 31-year-old Ford Panther. 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis Commercial - Savings Ad The granddaddy of them all, and on sale in South Texas! Fallon picks Ford F-150 King Ranch, launches dealership contest

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner.
To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins.
Watch Fallon make his pick and introduce the dealer reps below, and be sure to click on the second video for a live-streaming feed of Fingers on a 4x4 in action (the contest seems to be going strong).

Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
