1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT!  Black Paint was done right with complete jamb paint job. Looks like a black mirror. No dents or dings. Interior is in great condition and is not faded, dash is not cracked, seat look great with no rips or tears. Carpet in good shape as well. Has a small cig burn under drives side floor mat in the corner closest to drivers door. Cannot see it with floor mats in. Sunroof has no leaks and new weather stripping. Has a JVC AM/FM CD stereo with just back speakers hooked up. Back seat and hatch area also in great shape. Center console in great shape other than the normal ashtray door issue. Power windows, power locks, keyless entry with key fob remote and alarm system with separate fuel cut off switch (keyed).

Has new carbon fiber hood, original is included and was painted at the same time as car so perfect match and in great condition, no issues with stock hood. Has brand new saleen replica wheels from American muscle with new tires as well. Hood and tires alone cost $2,000! Has new shocks, struts and springs all the way around. Springs are moog stock style springs, mainly for a better ride than the lowering springs! Brakes are good all the way around with new drums in the back and pads all around. Has welded in subframe connectors with seat brackets, and full stainless exhaust including ford racing shorty headers, bassani catted x-pipe and stainless the rest of the way back including mufflers. Has a great muscle car sound, but not crazy loud.

5.0 motor runs strong. Ford Racing shorty headers, Ford Racing Spark Plug wires, Ford Racing power steering relocation kit and A/C Delete, CAI, JEGS 100 amp chrome alternator, Chrome coil area cover, new radiator, new fan shroud, new battery, underdrive pulleys, wiring cleaned up nicely and front and side portion of engine compartment detailed out as well. I broke off the dipstick tube when installing the new headers and the remainder of the dipstick is stuck in the block. I can't get it, but I am sure a garage could pop it out easy and put in the new one that is included! It doesn't use oil at all. This is still a SPEED DENSITY car! Last year for them! Also has a rebuilt rearend with 3:73 gears and correct speedo gear as well.

I will also include any take off parts that you want. I have saved everything and bagged and tagged it all. From old Fan shroud, working radiator, alternator, etc. I will also include a set of original 87-88 Turbine wheels with nice Fusion directional tires as well.

Overall, this is a great looking, running and driving vehicle. There is no body or frame rust at all. If you have any questions, just ask! text or call me at 260-341-7726, or use the ebay system to shoot me a question. Not looking for trades, and reserve is set below what the new paint alone would cost!

Help make Lego Icon Bronco a reality [UPDATE]

Fri, Feb 13 2015

The Lego Ideas process is a pretty neat concept. The website allows anyone to propose a future kit, and if the project gathers 10,000 supporters within a certain amount of time, then the company investigates building it. The creator even gets a cut of the sales. We saw the operation at work last year with a very cool looking Corvette kit that hasn't hit the next stage quite yet. Now, another creator going by the username Legohero1966 has a fantastic looking replica of the Icon 4X4 Bronco hoping for support. The maker nails the boxy, brawny look of the Icon take on the classic Ford Bronco, and the Lego kit even gets the color pretty close. The miniature SUV also features a visible suspension, a removable top and, according to the description, a reel for the winch is hidden in the bumper. Underneath the body, this model even does a pretty good job of replicating the powertrain. As is expected by these kits, the hood, doors and hatch all open; on this one the spare tire carrier even moves out of the way, too. As of this writing, the Icon Bronco kit only has a little over 400 supporters, and that's a long way from the goal. If you like what you see, give the proposal a closer look on Lego Ideas. UPDATE: The original creator of the Icon Bronco kit, Paul Kim, has advised Autoblog that this Lego Ideas proposal was created without his consent, and he has reported the problem there. You can view more pictures of the Bronco and more of Kim's work, here. Here's how much the new Ford Mustang will cost in Germany

Thu, Jan 8 2015

While you can find Ford Mustangs across Europe, they were brought over there courtesy of importers, rather than Ford itself. That's changing with the 2015 pony car, as Ford will be selling it directly through its overseas dealers. Now, we know how much German customers will be shelling out for the muscle car, courtesy of the maniacs at Mustang6G. Not surprisingly, there's a fairly hefty premium compared to US prices. The base Mustang, with its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed manual transmission will start at 34,000 euros ($40,214, at today's rates), while the 5.0-liter V8/six-speed-manual model starts at 39,000 euros ($46,127). The Mustang Convertible demands an extra 4,000 euros ($4,731) while the optional six-speed automatic elevates the price by 2,000 euros ($2,365), regardless, in both cases, of whether there are four or eight cylinders under that long hood. While those prices are certainly pretty dear compared to what we pay in the US, the Mustang is a genuine bargain compared to some of Europe's other sports coupes. The German market BMW 4 Series starts at 36,050 euros ($42,638), while a base 435i calls for 48,100 euros ($56,891). It's a similar story with the Audi A5/S5. As for the Mustang's arch-nemesis, the Chevrolet Camaro, which is only available with the SS model's 6.2-liter V8, starts at 39,990 euros ($47,298), comparing quite evenly with the 5.0-liter GT.

2015 Galpin Ford GTR1

Mon, 25 Aug 2014

Last year in Monterey, we met GTR1 for the first time. Galpin Auto Sports pulled the wraps off its Ford GT-based supercar, powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.4-liter V8 good for a whopping 1,024 horsepower and 739 pound-feet of torque. The thing was totally custom-made and reportedly took some 12,000 man hours to create. And there it sat on the Pebble Beach grass, $1,000,000-plus price tag and all.
This year, the Galpin was back, albeit with one big change. That twin-turbo engine? Gone. In its place, a 5.4-liter V8 with a 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger bolted on, delivering an astonishing 1,058 hp and 992 lb-ft of torque on 110-octane fuel. 0-60? 2.9 seconds. Top speed? Somewhere above 225 miles per hour.
"Some things to keep in mind: no stability control, no traction control," were the only warnings given by Galpin's Brandon Boeckmann before taking me on a quick spin in the supercar. And after having my eyes thrown into the back of my skull a few times, laughing hysterically and trying to regain full use of my hearing after my ear drums being bombarded by the apocalyptic roar behind me, Brandon pulled over and said it was my turn, if I was ready to take the wheel.
