For sale or trade is both of my Mustangs and parts. First off I have a 1985 Mustang GT 302 5-speed with t-tops. Needs paint and bodywork, rubbers for t-tops and windows, a water pump and some brake adjustment. It is a running car with a small cam and flowmasters. It has some non original front seats in it  but I have a set of the original Halo seats in excellent condition for it. I also have another set of original Halo front and back seats in decent condition. The second car is just a body but is a 1979 Mustang Pace Car. I have clear titles for both cars in my name. I have a 302 and a 5-speed out of a 1986 Mustang Gt for it, they are complete and have not been torn down. They turn over freely but I do not know their condition. I also have the positive traction rear end out of that car and another set of Weld wheels, one is bent. I have a few other misc. parts of of the 86 GT. I will sell everything that I have for the Mustangs for $5000.00 or will consider trades on Harley Davidson motorcycles or custom bikes or projects, NO Sportsters. Will trade up or down but needs to be close in value. I would consider selling the 85 Gt by itself but not the Pace Car. Everything must sell for the Pace car to go or the 85 must sell first. I will be glad to answer any questions, I can be reached at 828-223-0866 and my name is David. You can also text or email pictures of any trade offers.

Ford profiles surprisingly affluent Focus ST buyers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

It comes as no surprise when Ford says that 32-percent of Focus ST buyers are under 35, but we weren't expecting this: the average annual salary of Focus ST buyers is $127,000. Twenty-two percent of non-ST Focus buyers are under 35, while their average annual salary is $67,000.
We like the Focus ST because it has 252 horsepower, is genuinely fun to drive and offers great value for performance-minded car enthusiasts; facts that are not lost on customers, it seems. Ford says that the Focus ST has the highest percentage of conquest sales for a non-hybrid model it sells, and that the top-four trade-ins are from Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and Toyota. Demand for the hot Focus is strongest in Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston and Orlando.
"[The Focus ST is] having this kind of halo effect for other vehicles we'd hoped for when we invested in the ST brand," says John Felice, vice president of US marketing, sales and service, because it's helping to boost sales of other Ford vehicles.

Ford Mustang GT350 seen and heard in motion for the first time

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

We just recently saw our first spy shots of the next-gen hi-po Ford Mustang slated to replace the Shelby GT500, but now we're getting our first look - and listen - of prototypes captured on video. Mustang6g.com has the video (along with some different spy shots), which show that, if nothing else, SVT knows how to tune an exhaust system. The :50 mark is a good example of this, but fast-forward to around 2:00 where the driver revs the engine and really gets on the throttle hard taking off from a stop.
There's still no definitive evidence that the next-gen SVT Mustang - said to be called GT350 - will be naturally aspirated, but it sounds just as menacing as the current Shelby GT500. While the video posted below exhibits the sort of quality that is to be expected from someone driving while trying to film someone who is attempting to elude being filmed, it's still exciting to see and hear this new Mustang in motion.

Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line

Wed, 05 Jan 2011

The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.
