1967 Ford Mustang on 2040-cars
Wanaque, New Jersey, United States
More details at: herbhccrosson@seeksgirlfriend.com .
You are looking at a very solid 1967 mustang convertible with 39000 original miles. This is a 2 owner car. I
purchased this car with the intent of making it a Shelby clone but the Shelby parts needed where way out there in
cost so I decided to just redo the car the way it was going to be done without the shelby treatment. The car came
with the original 289 engine already rebuilt with a very mild cam and edelbrock 4 barrel intake. I installed a new
carb and pulled the oil pan to inspect the engine work that was done everything looked new. The trans was also
rebuilt and both have approx 3K miles on them. The car has the original floors with a small patching on the
passenger side by the rocker. I replaced the fresh air intake sheet metal as seen in the pic`s. Also replaced was a
new door skin & passenger quarter, not because of rust, but plastic work. the 2nd owner scrapped the door & quarter
backing out of the garage so i replaced both . The car was disassembled and painted with the original red color
This also has power disc brakes in front, Power steering , aluminum 3 row radiator, new windshield, new SS dual
exhaust with flow tech mufflers (nice deep sound not loud), AM/FM with I pod hook up,shocks, wiring, bumpers, tires,
original wheel covers, complete new interior, front kick-panel speakers ,all new weather stripping, new convertible
top with glass back window, new carpet, door handles, gas tank, sending unit, steering wheel, turn singles in
hood......well you get picture......check my feed back no B S here....

Ford recalls select Explorer, E-Series vans
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Just a few days ago we brought you news that Ford had issued a recall on 28,000 units of the Edge crossover for problems related to the fuel line. But now the Blue Oval has issued recall notices on two more of its larger vehicles.
The first relates to the Explorer, 395 examples of which from the 2011 and 2012 model years were found to have problems with their steering systems if they underwent service after September 1, 2013. An apparent software glitch could lock the steering gear, preventing the driver from steering the vehicle and thereby increasing the risk of a crash. As a result, Ford dealers are being instructed to check their records to identify the problematic vehicles and bring them in to have the steering gear replaced. Details of the recall can be found in the PDF linked here.
The second problem revolves around E-Series vans that may develop bubbles in their windshields under hot temperatures. The decrease in visibility through the problematic windshield could - you guessed it - "increase the risk of a crash." As a result, Ford is calling in 4,532 units of the E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450 vans built in the relatively short window between May 12 and May 26, 2011. Details of this recall can be found in the notice below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Ford paying $750 million just to close plant in Belgium
Thu, 21 Mar 2013According to a report from Reuters, Ford is shelling out $750 million in a severance deal that will see the automaker close its facility in Genk, Belgium. The automaker reached this deal with the 4,000 hourly workers employed at the plant last week, which means the company will pay out an average of $187,500 per worker.
Ford is still negotiating with the 300 salaried workers at the factory, which currently produces the Mondeo sedan. All told, Ford expects to lose around $2 billion in Europe thanks in no small part to the region's ongoing economic downturn, and two more plants are scheduled to be shut down in Europe this year. The company will log its $750 million payout under "special items" for this quarter.
As you may recall, Ford took a similar path in the US back in 2009 when the domestic market took a spill. Back then, the company shelled out around $50,000 per employee with at least one year of experience, plus either $25,000 toward a new car or an extra cash payment of $20,000. It would seem the cost of closing plants in Belgium is a much harder pill to swallow than in the States...
Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks
Sun, 25 May 2014Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. If you're interest is piqued, feel free to read the press release, watch the video and listen to the tracks below.
