Selling my 1966 Mustang. This is a "C" code car with its original engine & auto trans(out of car in pieces) & rear.

This Mustang was restored 20+ years ago and the base/clear coat paint has held up really nice. It's a nice 10 footer.
It does show some nicks here and there, but still a nice driver quality paint.

Since I've had it going on 7 years, I've either replaced or rebuilt just about everything on this car.

Here is a partial list of new parts installed:

New front Kelsey Hayes 4 piston disk brakes
All new front suspension including roller spring perches, shocks etc. & the Shelby Drop. Aligned for radial tires
New Ford Performance T5Z transmission with Cobra Clutch, cable shift linkage & roller bearing clutch/brake pedals
New drive shaft & joints
New 8" Detroit Locker Rear with 3:55 gearing (Original 3rd member to go with car)
New carpet, door panels, headliner
New wiring through out.
289 Engine rebuilt 30 over. Ported & Polished different heads. (original heads & 2 barrel carb w/intake are stored & go with the car)
Repo HP Exhaust Manifolds & new 2 1/4" exhaust system
Rebuilt period correct Autolite 4 barrel done by "Pony Carbs."
New Pertronics II ignition system, new 9mm plug wires.
New heater core & rebuilt heater box.
Vinyl Striping Kit
NOS Rear Bumper
All new Chrome pieces except nice, used front bumper
New Windshield
New Tires & Torque Thrust Wheels
All new brake lines
New gas tank & sender
Much, much more.........way too much to list.....

This is just a taste of what I have put in this car. I have all receipts that will go with the car. I kept all the original parts if you ever wanted to put this car back to original (except wheels & tires)

I did under the hood to make it look as much as stock as I could. There were only 2 rust spots. One is under the front passenger side floor that I replace with metal as shown in the picture & the other is the passenger side cowl which I repaired.

The rest of the car is solid. It originally sold in Virginia and I am the 4th owner. Car had 87518 miles (as shown on the title) when I bought it. It now has 88,977 as of this auction.

This is a really nice, fun car to drive. I have not hot rodded or did any racing in this. I'm just too old and this has got to go.

I have described this car to the best of my knowledge. This car is being sold as is, no returns.

If interested, send me a msg for a link to a short video.

Buyer is responsible for setting up shipping. Car can be inspected most anytime & is located north of Baltimore, Md.

Car is also being sold locally, so this auction may end early.

Buyer must pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 to Paypal. The rest to be paid in cash or cleared bank certified check within 3 days of auctions end.

Ford GT40 makes historic return to racing at Goodwood

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Is there a more iconic, American racecar than the Ford GT40? That may be a discussion for another day (although by all means, tell us how wrong we are in Comments), but this video of heaps of GT40s running in the Goodwood Revival races certainly has us thinking that Ford's Ferrari-killer might just be the best racer the Land Of The Free and Home Of The Brave has ever come up with.
That's completely ignoring the fact that the GT40 was largely developed by Brits using American money, but that's besides the point (there was also a rather brash Texan, who had a big role later in development). The resulting vehicle was dominant, besting the cars of Il Commendatore from 1966 to 1969, although it should be noted that Ford's GT40 was unable to beat Ferrari in its first two Le Mans outings in 1964 and 1965.
Those four years of dominance, which started with Ford sweeping the podium, were enough to establish the GT40's legend. And now, here we are almost 50 years later, celebrating the mid-engined monsters at Goodwood, in their first ever one-make race. Take a look below for the entire video.

Ford recalls over 500,000 trucks and SUVs, including Explorer, F-150, and Lincoln Aviator

Fri, Aug 30 2019

For the second time in a month, Ford is recalling the brand-new 2020 Explorer and 2020 Lincoln Aviator for minor safety issues. This recall, which also affects certain 2018-2020 Ford F-150s, 2019-2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks, 2018-2019 Ford Explorers, and 2019-2020 Ford Expeditions, pertains to potentially faulty seat-back reclining mechanisms. In total, the recall touches 550,186 vehicles. A mechanical part meant for relaxation and comfort has the Ford Motor Company stressin'. Ford says potentially affected vehicles might be missing the "third pawl required for seat-back strength" in the reclining mechanisms on certain seats. Because of this, the seats might not properly keep a person in place during the event of a crash or otherwise.  In the F-150s, F-Series Super Duty trucks, 2018-2019 Explorers, and Expeditions, the recall affects vehicles with manual driver and/or front passenger seat-back recliners. On the 2020 Explorers and Lincoln Aviators, rear outboard seats with manual recliners are of concern. Of the more than 550,000 vehicles, 483,325 vehicles are in the United States, 58,712 are in Canada and 8,149 are in Mexico. Thus far, Ford is not aware of any injuries from the issues. Ford says it expects most vehicles will not need repair, but dealers will inspect the seat structures out of precaution. If fault is found, dealers will replace the seat structure altogether. For this recall, Ford's reference number is 19C07. Contact your dealer for more information. Featured Gallery 2020 Ford Explorer View 47 Photos Recalls Ford Lincoln Truck SUV

Ford Transit production fires up, American Pickers among first takers

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

Not long ago, the History Channel showed a seemingly unending stream of World War II documentaries, but it made a switch a few years ago to include an increasing mix of 'reality' programming. American Pickers was one of the early attempts at this new formula, with cameras following hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz around the country in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as they tracked down collectibles and "rusty gold" for their Iowa shop, Antique Archeology. The show has since gone on to become one of the channel's most popular programs.
Starting in the new episode airing tonight, the affable hosts will swap their Benz for a 2015 Ford Transit, a nicely timed bit of marketing to coincide with the launch of the model's assembly at the Blue Oval's Kansas City Assembly Plant, which also kicks off this week. Ford is touting 2,000 new jobs created as part of its $1.1-billion investment in the plant.
No strangers to product placement, the guys from American Pickers say their switch away from the Sprinter is because they wanted to balance cargo capacity and fuel economy to make the most of their cross-country jaunts. They opted for the largest Transit available with a long wheelbase, extended body and high roof, giving them 487 cubic feet of cargo room. Hauling power comes from a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel engine with 190 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque and a six-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive. Fittingly, the van wears the same Antique Archaeology logo over white paint as their old Sprinter.
