The original 289 was removed and sent to Christians Machine Shop in Corinth, Mississippi for complete rebuild. It
has the following parts:
Elgin Cam
Sealed Power Pistons
Dana Moly Rings
King Engine Bearings
Clevite Cam Bearings
Melling Oil Pump
Cloyes Timing Set
New Water Pump
New Radiator
The following work was done:
Bored 30 over
Block and Heads cleaned and mag
Lifter Upgrade
Hardened Seats
Cleaned and Surfaced Exhaust Manifolds
Balanced Rotating Assembly
Surfaced Flywheel
Engine reassembled and painted
Filled with Schaeffer Break In Oil
Carburetor was sent off to be rebuilt and replated
4-Speed was inspected and lubed
After drive train was removed, the complete underside of car was stripped for the beginning of restoration process.
It has had the front floor pans replaced and FULL factory replacement rear quarters. (Both quarters had rust in
the lower rear). The rear end was rebuilt and basically everything else under the car is new.(gas tank, all gas
and brake lines, brake hardware and pads, emergency brake system). The front end was replaced, if anything was
reused, it was stripped and powder coated. All underside metal repairs were completed and then it was
painted/lightly undercoated. It also has new shocks, wheels and tires!
The interior is all new (seat covers, door panels, carpet, window/door handles and dash pad). The top was
professionally installed 1 month ago (all new weather-stripping). It is a Robbins Stayfast Cloth top and it looks
amazing!!! Power top works great!! It has a Mustang Brand Radio with new speaker, which has the classic look but
also has USB capabilities. The heater box was completely rebuilt with new coil, seals, cables and hoses. It still
has the original front seat belts.
The exterior was professionally painted in basecoat/clearcoat system in Raven Black. The doors, deck lid, hood and
front fenders are all original metal, they were stripped down to metal at the beginning. It has all new
weather-stripping and window felt. All side glass is original and the front windshield and seal is new. As you
can see in photos, it has new door latches, inside and outside handles and new door hinges. It has new emblems,
bumpers, taillights, front park lights, front and rear valences, back-up lights and a magnaflow dual exhaust. It
also has new front and rear wiring harnesses.
The car starts right up and drives great, you can drive it with 2 fingers. Engine runs smooth and it shifts
through all gears perfectly. In addition to factory equipment, I installed a set of gauges under the dash for oil
pressure, temperature and charging. I also installed a Be Cool pusher fan on the new radiator to ensure the engine
stays cool.
When I purchased car the underdash air unit was gone, but it still had all of the other hardware. I kept
everything in case someone wants to put it back original. The 3 groove lower pully is installed on engine.
Inspections are welcome, just give me a email!

Ford bringing C-Max Solar Energi Concept to CES
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Solar energy might not be enough to power a usable electric vehicle on its own, but that doesn't mean it can't lend a helping hand. And that's what Ford has in store for the Consumer Electronics Show opening next week in Las Vegas.
Ford has essentially taken its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid and fitted it with the latest in solar panel technology developed by SunPower, acting like a magnifying glass to capture as much of the sun's energy as possible. So you get the benefit of an electric vehicle, with the range assurance of a hybrid, without needing to draw from the grid.
Ford estimates that a day of charging in the sunshine will give the C-Max Solar Energi concept the same full charge as the production PHEV, with a total range of 620 miles - 21 of which can be run on electric power alone. Otherwise the vehicle - which remains a concept for the time being - is identical to the existing C-Max Energi. The top-selling model in Ford's growing hybrid and electric vehicle portfolio helps put Ford just behind Toyota among the top seller of hybrids in America. Scope out the images in the gallery above and the video clip and press release below for a closer look.
Livestream: Ricardo Innovation & Sustainability Symposium 2015
Thu, Mar 19 2015Making decisions on how to invest billions of dollars in future technology is scary even if you're developing something as simple as a smartphone. But when you've got to invest that money in something as complex as a car one that might drive itself, or operate just on electricity, or even possibly be crash-proof Β that task becomes daunting. Today, at 9:00AM, a slate of auto industry leaders are gathering at automotive supplier Ricardo to celebrate the company's 100-year anniversary by looking toward the future. Moderated by Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Sharon Carty, the panel will talk about Ford's vision for the future, look at battery development, environmental issues, and may even debate the future of flying cars. Maybe. If you're interested in following along, take a look at the livestream. Government/Legal Green Ford Technology Emerging Technologies Videos ricardo Sakti3
