!966 Mustang on 2040-cars
Santa Clarita, California, United States
Selling my 66 as is.
Inline 6 engine, 3 speed manual, 66k miles (most likely 168,000 due to them rolling over at 100k).
Starts up every time. Runs and drives great. Came out of the San Jose factory but was sold originally in Washington.
Things that have been done to the car: installed "retro" looking stereo system, has bluetooth, USB, etc. New speakers in door and rear deck. Battery is 2 years old, new ignition, new water pump, new steering wheel, new radiator, brand new exhaust system/muffler, new front bumper, also have new rear bumper that hasn't been installed yet. Tinted windows.
Starts right up and drives great.
Issues are: dashboard is cracked, horn does not work, headlined is torn, front valance is dented.
Please come and drive the car if you are considering it for purchase. I am more than happy to let you drive it around. This car is all you could hope for in a classic. My number is (661)414-4766 Call me for photos.I couldnt get them to upload. Thanks for looking.

Watch these videos of an NHRA racer's bodywork blowing off into a crowd
Tue, 23 Apr 2013Just a few months ago, fan safety at racetracks was a hot topic following the last-lap NASCAR Nationwide Series crash at Daytona that sent large pieces of racecars into the grandstands injuring 33 fans. Now, a freak incident at a National Hot Rod Association event resulted in a drag racer's bodywork flying into the crowd at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte over the weekend. The carbon-fiber body of Robert Hight's Ford Mustang funny car blew off toward the end of a run when his engine exploded, but fortunately, the two fans evaluated after the incident were later released without serious injury.
As you can see in the image above, the body flew high into the air before landing on a walkway in front of the grandstands, a bit of happenstance that likely gave most fans enough time and space to move out of the way. Scroll down to watch a couple of videos showing what happened, including one from a fan's perspective that also reveals what appears to be part of the body's metal bracing landing dangerously close to the crowd.
Autoblog joins Elon Musk and Danica Patrick in accepting ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Unless you've been living in an off-the-grid cabin in the woods for the last couple of weeks or abstain entirely from social media activities, you've probably seen someone you know dump a bucket of ice and water over their own head recently. While the origins of the so-called Ice Bucket Challenge are shrouded in a history typical of Internet memes, its effectiveness in raising money and awareness for the ALS Association has been astonishing.
Celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, technology and more have generated untold millions of video views in support of the organization that is helping patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), and generated a much needed influx of cash, as well. Recent reports have some $15.6M raised in the last two weeks.
Of course, the big-hearted world of automotive celebrities has taken part in the drenching charity effort as well. Follow on below for some of the biggest names on four wheels getting iced for charity, with a smattering of your favorite Autobloggers thrown in for good measure.
Tanner Foust tackles 'Ring in SVT Raptor
Sat, 16 Mar 2013Here's a math problem: if Tanner Foust has a 24 hours to kill in Germany and one blue Ford Raptor, how long will it take him to decide he wants to lap The Nürburgring? Extra credit if you can get your answer precise to the millisecond.
A very truck-like and slidey lap of the 'Ring is exactly what happened when the Ford-sponsored rallycross driver took time off from set-up duties for his 'day job.' Thankfully no one even thought to worry about posting a time, but you can watch some Raptor skid marks getting laid down between the kerbs in the video below.
