I have listed a 1923 Model T Ford for sale.  The "touring" car has three doors which ALL close and open properly. (there was no drivers door made to open!)  The car was repainted at some point in the past ten years or so.  It has NO "checking" to the paint anywhere so it might have been painted in the last several years.  NO scratches (except one on the rear passenger fender) are on the car or body!  It does however have some nicks/rust by the two hooks on the bottom of the engine hood. The car interior is likewise newly redone ----both seats and all the side interior look new. The underneath of the car is just as immaculate as the top outside of the body.  The T retains its original floor boards both in the front and rear. New T mats are in the front and rear.  A brand new tire and rim were put on the rear spare carrier.  Otherwise the tires on the wood spoke wheels seem pretty original but hold air fine when sitting and driving.  At the same time I had the gas tank drained along with the radiator and oil for the car with a NEW battery put in too.   This car is the original six volt configuration as made.  The car fires right up with the turn of a switch and  your foot pushing  down on the "electric starter" button.  I am far from a T expert but it seems to drive fine ---    the engine purrs along. I have set the reserve very low for this car (less than what it would cost to paint it and put in new upholstery)  Feel free to call me with any questions at 321-506-6066 (prefer 6pm -10 pm eastern time) Or my email address is mpl1736664@aol.com   The car is located in Wilson,NC  It is stored inside a trailer and spent many years previously always indoors.  A clear PA title will be provided at purchase.  Please bid accordingly. Thank you for looking.  Mark

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.

2016 Ford Focus RS may yet be AWD, US sales likely

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

When it comes to forbidden fruit, few vehicles are spoken of in as hushed a tone as the Ford Focus RS. The turbocharged, five-cylinder hot hatch could only be seen from afar by American customers as it tore up the roads of Europe. And while it's safe to say that Ford's Yankee fans are quite happy to now be on equal footing with drivers in the old country thanks to the Focus ST, we doubt there'd be much protestation over a successor to the RS arriving stateside.
Of course, we've seen images of the new RS undergoing testing, but a new story by Road and Track aims to fill in some very large blanks in our knowledge of that car, thanks to a pair of mysterious insiders at the Ford. Chief among those is this - the RS will almost certainly make its way to the US, albeit in limited quantities. It gets better, though.
Under hood, the new RS is unsurprisingly expected to borrow the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Lincoln MKC. While that twin-scroll turbo produces 310 horsepower in the Mustang and 285 ponies in the MKC, R&T expects the RS to deliver quite a bit more firepower - 325 to 350 hp, with preference going to the higher output due to the limited-edition nature of the RS. This roughly fits with previous reports.

Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

A few weeks ago we brought you news of a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet that Ford was donating to charity. The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.
