1929 Ford Model A Tudor - vin # A1692542 - up for auction with a low reserve. Ready to be restored or turned in to a "Depression Cruzer". This is a solid car and was stored indoors since 1950. The motor runs, lights do not work. The original wiring needs to be replaced because it is cracked. When I got it to restore, it had a dead short in it so I rewired the ignition system so I could get it running. Most of the interior is there, but would need to be replaced. The head liner is gone and a couple of the bows need to be re-glued. The top is not installed, but I have it and will go with the car. I also have a couple of seat covers for the front seats if the winner wants them. The paint is old and needs to be sanded and repainted. This car had been partially restored in 1950 before going into storage. I have a clear title for the car. The Mallory distributor in the pictures has been replaced with a Model A distributor. The red wheels and tires on the front in the video do not go with it and I have the silver wheels and tires like on the rear to put back on and go with the car. I have a video of the car running and a walk around, please email me for it. Winning bidder is responsible for hauling and payment is due in 3 days. Terms & Conditions Your bid, winning or not, signifies you agree to these terms and conditions and you agree to make all payments within the allotted time. If you are the winning bidder and back out of your obligation to purchase, or fail to pay within the time allotted, you WILL receive negative feedback and be reported to Ebay. On Apr-09-14 at 16:52:19 PDT, seller added the following information: The video of the car can be seen at; http://youtu.be/sP288f1U5KA |

Bomb threat closes Ford Romeo Engine Plant [UPDATE]
Thu, Jul 30 2015UPDATE: Ford has released the following statement about what's happening at the factory: "The Ford Romeo Engine Plant was reopened at 12:47 PM after law enforcement investigated and cleared the site. The afternoon and evening shifts are expected to report at their usual start times. Further questions on the investigation by law enforcement can be directed to the Romeo Police Department." Due to a bomb threat, Ford has evacuated its Romeo Engine Plant, and law enforcement is on the scene. According to the Detroit News, police with bomb-sniffing dogs are searching the building, which covers over 2 million square feet. Ford spokesperson Mike Moran wouldn't disclose to Autoblog how the threat was received but said that it came in between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Eastern on July 30. "The day shift was sent home," he said. According to the Detroit News, the second shift was also asked not to come in. About 500 people work at the plant, Moran indicated. At this time, Moran said that there hadn't yet been an update from law enforcement whether anything had been found in their search. The Romeo Police Department confirms to Autoblog that it's handling the investigation. However, the authorities wouldn't comment further about what is happening at the plant at this time. 2016 Ford Fusion hybrid, plug-in getting $900 price cut
Thu, Feb 19 2015While the overall the green car market in the US suffered a slump in 2014 with a 6.5-percent drop in sales, the demand for electric vehicles and plug-ins actually jumped a healthy 28 percent. The Ford Fusion Energi plug-in was among the winners in the segment with a nearly 90 percent boost to 11,550 examples sold for the year. To keep the ball rolling in the face of low gas prices and updated challengers entering the field, the Blue Oval is slashing $900 off the cost of both the Energi and standard Fusion Hybrid to make them even more attractive to buyers. Ford's Monique Brentley told Autoblog that, the reduction was done, "basically, just to attract more customers and promote sales." The cut affects every trim of both electrically assisted versions of the Fusion for the 2016 model year, according to Cars Direct, and it comes without the removal of standard equipment. On the contrary, the Energi reportedly gets a new EcoSelect driving mode that activates additional regenerative braking and more gentle acceleration. The $900 pricing adjustment is only for these models and not available on the versions with only an internal combustion engine, which makes it clear Ford wants to tantalize green car buyers towards this pair. According to Cars Direct, the models should go on sale in late 2015. The least expensive 2016 Fusion Hybrid S will retail for $25,675, plus $825 destination on all of them, and a 2016 Energi start at $33,900. Autoblog's own pricing pages for them show the same numbers (here and here). Cars Direct also predicts for the Blue Oval to keep most incentives in place even after the adjustment. Assuming these figures don't change before the sedans actually go on sale, the price cut makes a 2016 Energi less expensive than a 2015 Chevrolet Volt starting at $34,345 (plus $825 destination). The cost of the updated 2016 model for the Chevy isn't announced yet.
