The top is a LeBarron Bonney  Deluxe Folding Top. The truck is equipped with seat belts and additional steel plate was added to anchor the belts underneath the cab. the wiring harness was purchased new and does have the turn signal setup. All the electrical works and operates excellent. The generator, and starter were completely rebuilt during restoration. the truck has a babbitted engine and was completely rebuilt. The tires are Firestone's and were purchased new. The truck has dual cowl spares as you can see in the pictures. The paint is outstanding and was painted by a professional body man. the chrome radiator, headlights were added. The front turn signals were put in the cowl lights. The engine does have a leakless water pump. the horn has a loud Ahooga and was rebuilt by a restorer in Michigan.  All fender's and body are steel, there is no fiberglas. I was never happy with the bed and could ot get the dents and bulges out of it, so I purchased a Brookville bed. If you notice in the pictures the oak floor in the bed is clear polyurethane. If you will  notice in the last picture the step plates were a (THANK YOU) present from a dealer in Independence, Mo. to individuals that purchased a MODEL A from his dealership.  The vehicle has a clear title. the Model A is for sale locally and by other means, so I reserve the right to remove at any time.

The truck has been in 8 shows and won it's class every time. Inaddition it has won two best of shows. At Petit Jean on the Mountain it won it's class and a Senior Award.   Health and Physical limitations are forcing me to limit my hobbies.

Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams

Sun, 11 Aug 2013

As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.

California Man Reunited 33 Years Later With Thunderbird

Wed, Sep 3 2014

A California man was at a loss for words when he was reunited with his prized 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Tuesday, 33 years after it was stolen from a bar parking lot. Gary Chartrand could hardly believe how well his old Thunderbird held up in the last three decades. The odometer had only added about 1,000 miles from when he last saw the car back in the 1980s. "A few bumps and bruises but boy, not much changed," Chartrand told KOVR. Chartrand bought the car as a present to himself after finalizing his divorce from his wife of 10 years in 1981. It disappeared one night from the parking lot of a Sacramento bar where he was working. Police found Chartrand's car 750 miles north in Washington State. They have no leads on who might have stolen the classic car. Related Gallery Buying An Older Car: Five Things To Watch Out For

Ford hurt by 2015 F-150 production restraints

Tue, Mar 10 2015

The new 2015 Ford F-150 came out of the gate strong for January 2015 with all F-Series sales up 17 percent for the month. However, February tempered those gains a bit with the model line dipping 1.2 percent, and the Ford brand itself dropped 1.7 percent year-over-year. The fall is being blamed in part on tight supply of the latest pickup. A major factor holding back the 2015 F-150 is that they are only currently being made at the Dearborn Truck Plant. The Kansas City factory is still changing over, and full supply from them both is expected by the middle of the year. Ford also just announced plans to hire an extra 1,550 people to build the pickups, including 900 in Kansas City. However, the downtime in the assembly changeover has caused about 90,000 units in lost production since mid-2014, according to The Detroit Free Press. It's not all bad news for the pickup, though. The latest F-150 made up 21 percent of F-Series sales in February, according to The Detroit Free Press, up from 18 percent in the previous month, and they remained on dealer lots an average of 18 days. The lessened supply has also meant lower incentives. Mark LaNeve, Ford's US marketing boss, told the Free Press that average F-150 transaction prices were up $2,000 from last year. He also indicated that retail figures grew seven percent in February, while F-Series fleet numbers were down 18 percent. The constrained supply does come at an inopportune time for Ford, though. This year is expected to be huge for pickups. Also, lower gas prices appear to be pushing people towards SUVs and trucks recently. Related Video:
