Thank you for looking at our 1964 Ford Galaxie. This car was owned by one owner for most of its life, and was a Southern car. It’s still in beautiful condition, but it did have one re-paint. Then again, how many cars do you know that are this old that look this good with their original paint? The interior is original, the motor and transmission are original, and the previous owner told us that it was a matching numbers car. It starts and drives not much different than it did when it was new. It has a new exhaust, and the brakes are to the top. The vehicle steers easily but it is very tight. The suspension is in excellent shape and rides very well. The motor sounds like brand new, and shifts smoothly through all the gears. I took several pictures of this car, which you can look at in the Photobucket link below. The 44,000 miles on the odometer of this car are believed to be actual according to the previous owner, however the original owner mistakenly put the incorrect miles on the title, so they will read as non-actual. We believe that the interior of this car would not look like this if the miles had been exceeded. This car would be great to take to car shows and drive on weekends. It’s turn-key ready for fun and enjoyment. We do not have the one molding that is missing on the passenger’s side. It would have to be replaced to be correct. We believe everything on this car works, and it looks just as nice in person as it does in the pictures. The Galaxie 500 (352 motor) is a very rare model and there are not that many of them left in existence, especially in this one’s condition. We would like to show the car off to all potential bidders who would like to stop in, check it out from bumper to bumper and take it for a test drive. This car is being sold by Showcase Used Cars located in Wickliffe, OH. The car must be paid for within 48 hours after the end of the auction in cash or by wire transfer! Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.

Ford previews new C-Max ahead of upcoming debut
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Looking at a Ford Focus? These days you can get it as a five-door hatch, a four-door sedan, or... that's all. European buyers don't even get our sedan, but they do get a wagon. And while the three-door hatch, two-door coupe and two-door cabrio have long since ended production, buyers around the world can also get the company's larger C-Max. And now, like the Focus upon which it's based, Ford is preparing to roll out a new version.
The tall wagon (or small minivan, depending on your perspective) is being treated to what Ford says is "an extreme makeover." Details to accompany the teaser image above remain few and far between, but following the spy shots we recently posted, it looks destined for some of the same visual updates as Ford rolled out on the 2015 Focus, with "even more refinement, practicality and technology."
Like the Mercedes B-Class, which is only available Stateside as an EV, American buyers can only get the C-Max in electrified form, either as the C-Max Hybrid or C-Max Energi. Overseas buyers, however, will be able to choose from a range of powertrain options and two wheelbase lengths - the longer of which boasts seven seats and the Grand C-Max name. (Remember when Chrysler did the same with its minivans?) Both are set to debut on September 17, so watch this space. After that, we'll expect to see it on display at the Paris Motor Show.

Wed, 04 Jun 2014Ford has released the full list of pricing and specs on its new Transit, the replacement for the long-lived E-Series cargo van. Prices are set to start at $29,565 and can increase rapidly from there, depending on length, engine and wheelbase, among other options.
Let's talk first about those new engines. The base is the familiar 3.7-liter, naturally aspirated V6. It boasts 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and can return up to 14 miles per gallon in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. This engine can also be adapted to run on LPG or compressed natural gas. Of course, there are better alternatives, for a price, the first of which is Ford's well-received, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It packs 310 hp and a best-in-class 400 lb-ft of torque (available at just 2,500 rpm) while matching the naturally aspirated engine in both city and highway fuel economy.
Then, there's the diesel. With a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel mill at its disposal, the Transit generates 350 lb-ft between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, along with 185 hp. This engine hasn't been rated by the EPA, although we'd be really, really surprised if it didn't handily best either of the gas-powered engines in fuel efficiency. A six-speed automatic is standard, regardless of engine.
