1962 Ford Galaxie 2 Door Post Top Sedan, V8-auto Trans, Very Nice Condition on 2040-cars
Toccoa, Georgia, United States
Here is a great looking and driving 1962 Ford Galaxie, 2 door post top car. It has the 292 V8 engine with automatic transmission. It runs very good and would be a great daily driver for the vintage car lovers. It is light Blue with matching blue interior that is almost perfect. Look carefully at the pictures, they speak for the quality of this car. It has 15" vintage wheels with the dish poverty caps. Dual exhaust. It is very clean and solid. The trunk pans is great and original. (see pics). Floors and entire car is very solid. Mileage is showing just under 27,000, but not verified. This would be a great car for the performance minded buyer to install the awesome 406 Tri-Power engine and 4 Speed transmission that was a option in these early cars. I could go on about the car and still not cover all the great things about it. So, just ask questions and I will reply with the answer. It is offerred by a private seller and the car has a Clear Current South Carolina Title. Thanks for your interest and I do reserve the right to end this auction at anytime because it is advertised in other places as well. Buy it and drive it home, or discounted shipping is available. Ask for shipping quotes before auction ends. We offer either open or enclosed transport. Thanks and Have a Blessed Day.

Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
Last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible nets $500k for charity at Barrett-Jackson [w/video]
Tue, 13 Aug 2013The last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible was sold on Saturday at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Reno, Nevada, for $500,000. Ford donated the Mustang to be auctioned for charity, and all of the money is going to the Brain Injury Association of America.
Parnelli Jones, winner of the 1963 Indianapolis 500, was there on behalf of the BIAA with his son Page, who suffered a brain injury in a sprint car crash in 1994. The bidding increased quickly, reaching $500k in no time, spreading a bit more hope to people who live with brain injuries.
The winning bidder will be able to choose the GT500's exterior, interior and stripe colors, and is scheduled to receive the car, signed by Parnelli Jones in appreciation for the donation, by the end of 2013. Watch the video below to see the auction-block action.
Leno chooses his top 10 Mustangs
Sat, 14 Jun 2014He may be a few months late to the party, but in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, Jay Leno has delivered a short video in which he runs down which of the Blue Oval's pony cars from the past 50 years are his favorites.
The list is pretty darn similar to our own, with some of the big names from the Mustang's half century making an appearance, while there are three or four cars here that we think you'll be pretty surprised by.
Take a look below for this short video from Jay Leno's Garage.
