Up for sale tonight is a car I am selling for a friend of mine. It is a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 4 door sedan. This is an incredible car. It is a fun car and gets lots of looks when it goes out. Tons of work has been done to this car which include...but not limited to.... Engine rebuilt Transmission rebuilt Leaf springs replaced Exhaust replaced Wheel cylinders and brake work all the way around BRAND SPANKING NEW INTERIOR ($3500 FOR INTERIOR ALONE) New fuel pump New belts, plugs and wires New battery I am sure there is a lot more than that already done...the car is a good looking car and lots of fun...it has a 260cu in engine 8 cyl...the transmission is strong and doesn't slip...the heat works but the radio doesn't work at present but not sure why,... There are some stuff that still needs to be done or touched up...there are two scratches on the car thanks to ??? one on each side of the car...there is a dent in the rear bumper (see pics) and the front grill is bent (see pics)...the back door on the drivers side for some reason doesnt lock properly...in the pics the air cleaner is missing didnt notice that till after back at the store....but the air cleaner I have...and there are 2 hubcaps missing...I did notice there is a small tear in the headliner...but other than that the headliner is great this rip might be able to be even repaired... This is a older car that is in great condition and has no known problems. But since is an older car there are some scuffs or scratches on the paint ( I have tried to include as many pics as possible to show some scratches). I try and take a lot of pics to show exactly what you are getting so there are no suprises...but being human...things happen so make sure to look closely at that pics and ASK QUESTIONS! This vehicle has no warranty expressed or implied. So ask questions before hand. Thanks in advance. Don't forget to look at my other auctions. IN THE COMING WEEKS LOOK FOR OTHER CAR AUCTIONS. MY FRIEND AND I HAVE A LOT OF CARS THAT I HAVE TO GET RID OF DUE TO SPACE, TIME AND MONEY! THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES AWESOME!!!!! READY TO BE ADDED TO ANY ONES PERSONAL COLLECTION! Remember this is the Fairlane 500 not your basic Fairlane... I HAVE CHANGED MY EBAY USER ID / USERNAME TO REPRESENT NAME OF ESTATE BUSINESS. MY OLD EBAY ID IS REDDEERBOI AND MY FEEDBACK ON IT WAS 100%. CHECK IT OUT.

2014 Ford Cobra Jet announced with new colors, parachute mount
Fri, 22 Mar 2013Ford's drag-strip-ready Mustang Cobra Jet is back for 2014, and it's sporting a few changes to make it even better - both in competition and while sitting still. Rolling off the assembly line ready for duty in the NHRA Stock or Super Stock classes, production of the 2014 Cobra Jet is limited to just 50 units.
Racing upgrades for 2014 include the addition of a new three-speed transmission and a parachute mount, and while these will make the car better in the quarter mile, the Cobra Jet's new colors will make it look better tearing down the track. Buyers can now get their racecars painted up in Gotta Have-It Green or a custom, Cobra Jet-exclusive matte black hue. Ford and Ford Racing have already teamed up to make this an incredible factory drag racer with a full rollcage, massive Hoosier slicks, a race-tuned suspension setup and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Now, if only wheelie bars came standard...
Unlike the confusing third-party ordering system announced for the COPO Camaro, all you need to snatch up a 2014 Cobra Jet is $97,990 and good timing (as the cars will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis). Ordering opens up next month with production commencing in July. Check out the press release below.
The next-generation wearable will be your car
Fri, Jan 8 2016This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.
