You are viewing our traded in 1991 Ford F-450 Two Wheel Drive Super Duty powered by the 7.3L Diesel engine. This truck is powered by an automatic transmission and equipped with a flatbed on the back. We got this truck in on trade for another Ford F-450 that we also happened to get in on trade. This truck was previously owned by a construction company in our town who has their major repair work serviced here on their fleet. The body on the cab of the truck is very solid having been kept inside their shop at night and the interior does have some tears on the bench seat. The truck drives good down the road and shifts fine. With this old of a truck we do not put it through our service inspection, we instead have the vehicle detailed and put on ebay. We invite any potential customers to come view the truck for themselves at our dealership. We do have the truck for sale locally as well and we reserve the right to end the auction should the truck sell. We are however selling the truck via NO RESERVE and if the truck reaches the end of the auction the highest bidder is the next owner. This truck is being sold AS-IS where is with no warranty stated or implied. On top of the final auction price Illinois residents will be required to pay tax, title, and license charges at the dealership, out of state buyers will pay an additional $194 in fees and be responsible for their own taxes. We will provide a temporary tag as well. Please call Bob @ 815-777-2777 or Alex @ 815-777-4477 with ANY and ALL questions.

We can assist you in getting your diesel truck to you, we have a shipping company owned by the dealership, Galena Logistics, that can ship the truck to you. The drivers are employees of the owners of the dealership so we give you assurance your new vehicle will arrive safely. We will entertain some trade's on this truck but a trade in will be taken into consideration of a buy it now scenario, not if you win the auction. Call Bob @ 815-777-2777 or Alex @ 815-777-4477 with questions.

2016 Ford Focus RS shows up in Geneva, still bound for America [w/video]

Tue, Mar 3 2015

Representing the super-hot hatchback movement at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, we have the 2015 Ford Focus RS, the third-generation to wear the performance-focused designation. Bound for America for the first time, it's fair to say we're darn excited for the Focus RS and its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder. With at least 315 horsepower under the hood and the long-awaited inclusion of an all-wheel-drive system, there's little arguing that the RS will be seriously quick off the line. It should be darn good through the bends, too. The all-wheel-drive system packs a Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control system that sends up to 70 percent of the power to the rear axle. On top of the AWD's torque vectoring ability, the Focus RS adds a brake-based torque vectoring system, which transfers power laterally, as needed. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires should only help keep the RS glued to the tarmac. A three-pedal setup is the sole transmission option, which should delight purists. According to Ford, both the clutch and the trans itself have been bolstered to handle the 2.3-liter's power. Ford also comprehensively upgraded the looks of the Focus RS relative to the lesser Focus ST. Its enormous rear wing and the back bumper's rear diffuser complement the car's menacing face. The ST's center-exit exhaust has been ditched for a meaty set of pipes, while the car on display in Geneva shows off a different set of alloys than what we saw during the car's original debut. Check out our full gallery of live photos of this hot Ford, available up top. And be sure to check out our Short Cut of the new hot hatch by scrolling down. Ford Mustang 50th anniversary edition brings in $170k

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Just the other day, we reported on the first Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat selling for a whopping $825,000 at auction. But impressive as that sum was, the Challenger wasn't the only sought-after modern muscle car to cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block in Las Vegas this past weekend. So did this rare Ford Mustang.
The last of 1,964 special-edition 50 Years Limited Edition pony cars sold for a princely $170,000, with proceeds benefiting the Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute, a branch of the Henry Ford Health System.
The pony car in question is based on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT and upgrades with a performance package and nearly every option on the book, along with a unique appearance package to set it apart in celebration of the Mustang's 50th anniversary. It's available in two exclusive shades - Wimbledon white or Kona blue - with either a manual or automatic transmission. Only 1,964 highly symbolic examples were to be built, and this was the last of them.

Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy

Tue, 07 May 2013

With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.
