This truck was owned and operated by the U.S government department of homeland security here in El Paso, Texas. Government owned and maintained. This truck has spent it's entire life in sunny El Paso, Texas. It has never been driven on salted roads. NO RUST. The interior is medium stone cloth with a black vinyl floor. Its in good shape. The MP3 stereo sounds great. Everything works as it should. Factory plug in block heater. Factory towing package. The 350 horsepower 6.4 litre powerstroke diesel has awesome power and starts and runs great. The automatic transmission shifts crisp and smooth. The 4X4 works as it should. The suspension is good and the truck handles well. The brakes have been inspected and are in good shape. The wheels are Ford factory 20" wheels. The tires are just fair. They will get you home but should be replaced at some point. We had this truck inspected for structural damage and found none. The body is in good shape with only minor dings and scratches. Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow
Wed, Mar 16 2016Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:

Daimler consulting with Ford about 3-cylinder engines
Mon, 27 May 2013Soon enough, Ford will offer its 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine under the hood of the Fiesta here in the United States, building on the success of the small powerplant overseas. In fact, this success has caused other automakers to take notice, and according to Automotive News Europe, Daimler is now talking to Ford about this engine for use in its own products.
In other markets, Ford offers the 1.0-liter mill under the hood of the Focus (we had the chance to sample this package on our home turf), as well as the B-Max MPV. For this new collaboration, Daimler would use the turbo-three in the next-generation Smart ForTwo, as well as the Renault Twingo, which the German automaker will be collaborating on as part of its alliance with Renault-Nissan. Speaking to AN, a Mercedes-Benz engineer called the 1.0-liter mill an "interesting and impressive engine."
In exchange for details about the EcoBoost inline-three, Daimler will supply Ford with information regarding its Euro6 stratified lean-burn gasoline engine, which is found in the new E-Class sedan.
