Up for sale is a 2005 Ford F-350 Diesel Dually. This car was purchased in 2008 from Colonial Motors in Danbury. The truck had 53,000 miles at that time.

The current owner has used it for the last 5 years to trailer cars to racetracks, it now has 87,750 miles on it. For the last five years it has been driven less than 7000 miles per year.

This Truck is Black with a black leather interior. The truck tires are in great shape, with the front tires being replaced less than a year ago.

This truck has a bed liner, removable in it and a hitch for a gooseneck trailer in the bed.

The batteries in the truck are about a year old.

The current owners no longer have a use for it , the reason for selling.

This truck is an XLT and has a 8' bed.

This truck starts and runs as it should everything works, the A/C is not real cold, so I suspect it will need a recharge.

The tailgate has a small dent, as does the front of the bed. The rear seat has some tears in it, and there is one small left rear clearance light that fell off.

The engine is the 6.0 Powerstroke diesel that runs well and has been trouble free. It was just used last weekend for a trip to Fairfax, Va.

The truck has leather seats, automatic transmission , CD A/C and all the power, locks, widows and seats. The cab has a sliding back window.

This truck is 4 Wheel Drive with lockout front hubs, Dual rear wheels and a gooseneck hitch. We hauled a 40 Pace gooseneck car trailer with 2 cars, appx weight 15,000 lbs and the truck drove extremely well, with power to spare.

This truck is located in Redding Ct. and can be seen and test driven most anytime by calling Dean at 203-952-6001

Vaughn Gittin Jr. takes his dog for a drift

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

Vaughn Gittin Jr. spends a great deal of his workday going sideways, but he's usually alone in the endeavor. For a guy that is clearly a dog lover, we imagine that can get a bit lonely.
That won't be a problem for Gittin in this latest video, which features the racer hanging out with his good pal Brody (a dog) and everyone's favorite hot hatch, the Ford Fiesta ST.

MotorWeek remembers pre-EcoBoost Ford with the Thunderbird TurboCoupe

Thu, Feb 26 2015

Sometimes it feels great to embrace nostalgia for a trip down memory lane, and MotorWeek indulges that occasional desire with its regular Retro Review series. This time, the long-lived show goes back to the '80s to check out two of the top performance vehicles in the Ford lineup at the time – the 1987 Thunderbird TurboCoupe and Mustang GT. Both models had just received thorough refreshes after several years on the market. Long before an EcoBoost badge ever met its models, Ford made early forays into experimenting with turbocharging on vehicles like the T-Bird TurboCoupe. Based on MotorWeek's assessment, the company was on the right track. The boosted 2.3-liter four-cylinder was apparently a bit coarse but offered 190 horsepower with little turbo lag, compared to 155 hp the year before. The Mustang GT is likely the more-fondly remembered of these performance Fords today and provides an interesting point of comparison against the TurboCoupe. MotorWeek found some faults with the 'Stang, though. While it was quick for the time with a sprint to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, the 'car was described as "a nose-heavy beast" for its handling. And for a look at Ford's future in turbocharging – the GT will have an EcoBoost powerplant – check out our Related Video:

Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
