Special 5 day, No reserve auction.  Selling my own pickup from new.  used PU to attend alot of horse shows around the midwest and mideast. Girls have left and horse shows have gone from 30+ year to none.   No known issues with engine, power train, 4x4, or mechanical.   Interior is very nice for age--i think only issue is butt wear on edge of front driver seat.  see picture.    Exterior some bumps and bruises over the years.  I have had 3 PU's with this color as i think it is sharpest colors and running boards out there.    I will describe issues going around PU:  grill has small piece knocked out in right middle corner(most people will not notice) Passenger has scrape in paint(see picture) no dent just paint.  tail gate is kinda beat and has rust started(i thought about ebay new one but probably just gonna hit it again, best may be just take it off--normal dents are mostly from fifth wheel too low or not opening tailgate when leaving trailer.)   back rear box panel has the only larger ding--shortly after being new someone backed into parking posts---wrinkled back rear corner and bent bumper--I put new bumper on and left corner alone to be sure not hit again as if i fixed it, someone would dent it again.   Windshield has high crack for along time.  Rocker panels have some rust on couple that have started.  tried to stay ahead of it with wire brush and paint.     For Age. being used and miles overall still average or better exterior plus great looking color.

Options include working rear backup monitors, acellator pedal moves forward and back, moon roof, upgraded stereo/speakers, i think other things but dont remember. was most decked out rig at the time. Near 50 grand back in 04. Certified Ford dealer has serviced it its whole life.  I dont remember this PU leaving me anywhere on my travels and shouldnt for twice these miles yet.

2014 Ford F-150 gets CNG option

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford is toiling away, installing heavy-duty engine components into select 3.7-liter V6s to allow them to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in addition to gasoline. That's nothing new, but now, Ford has announced that it will offer the 2014 F-150 with this engine configuration, bringing the Blue Oval's total number of CNG/LPG-friendly vehicles up to eight. The F-150 will be the only half-ton pickup on the market that can run on these gases.
Ford will charge $315 per vehicle to equip the optional engine, but the trucks won't be ready to run on the alternative fuels straight from the factory and must be upfitted with additional equipment. A Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier will install a separate fuel system for the compressed gases at a cost of $7,500 to $9,500, depending on fuel tank size. With the right-size tank, the F-150 equipped with the CNG/LPG-prepped engine can go 750 miles on one tank of gas, according to Ford, averaging 23 miles per gallon.
The practice of offering flex-fuel vehicles is gaining momentum as businesses take advantage of cheap gas. CNG can be bought for $2.11/gallon on average (per gasoline equivalent), and sometimes for as little as $1.00 in some parts of the US, Ford states. "With the money saved using CNG, customers could start to see payback on their investment in as little as 24 to 36 months," says Jon Coleman, Ford's fleet sustainability and technology manager. The automaker expects to sell a total of 15,000 CNG/LPG-prepped vehicles in the 2014 model year.

Petrolicious pays visit to tuning sensation the Ringbrothers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

We caught up with a few projects from Ringbrothers at SEMA this year: a classic Ford Mustang body rendered in carbon fiber, and a De Tomaso Pantera-based concept that made us swoon.
It's with good timing then, that our friends at Petrolicious have uploaded their newest, well-crafted mini-documentary to the expansive airwaves of the Internet. Here, we meet the brothers Ring in person - Mike and Jim - and see how they've lent they're passion for craftsmanship to their business, along with their surname. A 1964 Ford Fairlane dubbed "Afterburner" and a 1965 Mustang called "Producer" star in this show.

How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
