This F-250 is equipped with a 300HP 5.4L V8, class 5 hitch receiver, trailer brake contoller, ABS brakes, cruise control, air conditioning, tilt, AM/FM radio, vinyl flooring, factory bedliner, new BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires (approx. 6k miles), Gibson dual exhaust system and optional Weatherguard toolbox (black). The truck is factory equipped for a snow plow but has never been used to plow.

I bought this truck new in November of 2005. The title is clear and in-hand. Maintenance includes front and rear differential fluid & transmission flush at about 70K, new spark plugs at roughly 130K, and synthetic oil changes every 4-6K. A new battery and alternator were installed in August of 2010. The exhaust system was replaced at about 120K and the passenger side exhaust manifold was replaced at 140K. The drivers side front brake caliper was replaced in 2008 and the passenger side rear caliper was replaced in 2011. Brake pads and front rotors were also replaced in 2011. I purchased the road hazzard option when I bought the new tires from Tire Discounters which should roll over to the new owner.

There is a dent in the lower portion of the passeger door and minor damage to the convex mirror & housing. The door is still weather-tight and operates normally. The bed has minor paint bubbles in the wheel well areas but other than that the truck is in good shape. If you would like additional photos or more information please let me know.

Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.

Ford faces class-action lawsuit for selling vehicles without brake override systems

Fri, 29 Mar 2013

A total of 20 Ford customers are suing the automaker in a class-action lawsuit for selling vehicles "vulnerable to unintended acceleration." According to Reuters, the suit names 30 models built between 2002 and 2010 with electronic throttle control systems but without a brake override system. Those include the 2004-2012 F-Series pickups and the 2005-2009 Lincoln Town Car. Adam Levitt, a partner with the law firm of Grant & Eisenhofer says the plaintiffs in the case want "to be compensated for their economic losses by having overpaid for cars that contained defects." Levitt contends that the plaintiffs would not have bought their vehicles or paid less for them had they known there was no brake override system in place.
Ford began installing brake override systems in its vehicles beginning in 2010. In response to the lawsuit, Ford has pointed to research by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that indicated that unintended acceleration is mostly caused by driver error, saying in a statement that, "NHTSA's work is far more scientific and trustworthy than work done by personal injury lawyers and their paid experts."
Belville et al v. Ford Motor Co. will be heard in US District Court in the Southern District of West Virginia.

Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.
