This is my 2002 F250 Superduty, Lariet, 4wd, 6' bed, extended cab. This truck is like a 1 year old truck, no rust no accidents no issues. This truck has never seen snow or salt it is from North Carolina and never driven during the winter while in Mass always garaged. It has 39,600 original miles. This is the famous 7.3 power stroke motor, known as the million mile motor. Has no leaks no rust etc. Sticker still on oil pan and rear ends. I bought the cap used and put it on the cap itself has a bunch of chips, scratches etc but removes off of the truck in a couple minutes if you don't like it. The interior has not been professionally cleaned or shampooed this is the real deal not all doctored up with spray paint on the frame rails and armor all everywhere. I washed it and vacuumed it and that's it. I bought this truck from an acquaintance with 32k miles he is a wealthy person who had bought it from a new car dealer in North Carolina where it was traded in from the original owner. He owned it for about 4 years and put 3000 miles on it and 1000 was from being driven up from down south. Truck has been garage for the 4 or so years it has been up here. He realized it just wasn't what he needed so it sat in a garage being started regularly until he decided to sell. I bought it from him and the truck is just to nice for me to use. I put about 6k miles of all highway driving and it runs flawless. The truck has 3 little flaws a small cut in the drivers side seat from when I hopped in and the buckle was behind me an poked into the seat, a small ding on the top corner of the cab and a small ding in the bottom of the passenger side door both the size of a popcorn seed. Truck has new belt, tires oil & filter. It also has a gooseneck ball that is recessed in the bed floor not sure if it was ever used and was told it was put in when truck was new and bed was lined. I have many more pictures and a video of the engine running and the truck driving. Please no trades, no financing no low ball offers etc. Have cash in hand or don't waste either of our time. If you don't know what these trucks and their values are please don't bother. I am listing this as pick up only this way it can be viewed and driven and if not happy I guess you don't take it. But it this is what you are looking for I see no reason why you wouldn't. Just remember this is a rust free truck that if bought for the same money from out west or south and you are in the northeast plan on another $1000+ to get it home. This one is here already for no extra cost. This is just a sample of pictures that represent the condition of the truck in its entirety. Once I figure out how to post them in the description and post a link to the video I will update. This truck is for sale locally.

Watch this lead sled go rallying in Finland

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Custom cars generally fit into neat little boxes in terms of how they are used. For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too. Scroll down to watch a very cool Finn getting his hot rod a little dirty.

XCAR stages epic drag race between Ford GT40, GT70 and GT

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

XCAR has put together what it believes is a first - a drag race between Ford's legendary, Le Mans-winning GT40, the more recent GT supercar it inspired and the little-known GT70 rally car. The three mid-engined monsters were all built for very different purposes, and not surprisingly, they come to battle with very different powertrains.
The GT40 is powered by a thumping, naturally aspirated V8. This example, which looks like a Mark IV model, is likely powered by a 7.0-liter engine, although it's not entirely clear how much power it's putting down. The GT70, meanwhile, was Ford's response to the Lancia Stratos. Considering that the Lancia is one of the greatest rally cars in history and many of you are probably just hearing of the GT70 for the first time, you can imagine how much success Ford had with it. Only six were produced before a change in regulations doomed this mid-engined rally car.
The Ford GT, meanwhile, doesn't really need an introduction. 550 horsepower is on offer from a 5.4-liter, supercharged V8, which keeps the GT competitive even against more modern supercars. 60 miles per hour arrives in well under four seconds while the top speed sits at 212 mph. Not bad for a car that went out of production in 2006.

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.
