1996 Ford F-250 7.3L Powerstroke OBS Crew Cab 4x4

I purchased this truck from the previous owner with what was claimed to be 156,000 miles. After doing extensive research through various Department of Motor Vehicle agencies, it was determined that the previous owner had rolled back the odometer. I have all the documentation to support this. Since purchasing the truck, I have put about 2,000 miles on it. I believe the truck has roughly 208,000 miles on it. The odometer currently reads 158,000 miles.

While owning the truck, I have repaired some of the most commonly known issues found in the 7.3L Powerstroke engine. It has a current Virginia state inspection. The truck is very clean, both inside and out. It runs extremely strong, pulls hard through all of the gears, rides smooth and straight, and turns heads whenever I take it out for a drive. I absolutely love the truck and baby it, but I am downsizing and no longer need a third vehicle.

Below is a list of what I have done to the truck since I purchased it a few years back. All work that has been performed on the truck has been done by a diesel specialty shop and is fully documented with receipts.

  • Bed liner
  • Over-the-rail bed cover
  • Repaired loose dipstick
  • Installed new transmission pan gasket
  • Installed four (4) new 16x8 teflon coated wheels (less than 1,000 miles)
  • Installed four (4) new Nitto Terra Grappler tires 285/75/R16 (less than 1,000 miles)
  • Installed new Ford Motor Company fuel injector control module and connectors
  • Installed new fuel filter
  • Installed new K&N air filter
  • Installed eight (8) new Accurate Diesel glow plugs
  • Installed new Accurate Diesel glow plug relay
  • Installed new valve cover gaskets
  • Installed new valve cover pigtail harnesses

Ford spotted testing new Focus RS at the Nurburgring

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford is expected to be launching a revised version of the Focus ST soon, but the latest snapshots from our spy photographers at the Nürburgring suggest that the Blue Oval is already working on an even more potent example: the new Focus RS.
Though the partially disguised test mule is wearing an ST badge (along with a Dewey sticker that makes us wonder what adventures Huey and Louie are up to and what manner of duck-tail rear spoiler they may be wearing), there are several tell-tale signs that something else is afoot here. There's a larger front air dam, bigger brake calipers, dual exhaust tips (instead of the central exhaust on the ST) and a reshaped wing protruding from the trailing edge of the roof.
That may all be well and fine, but what's under the hood? We don't know yet for sure, but word has it that Ford is preparing to port over the 2.3-liter turbo four offered in the new Mustang, where it packs 305 horsepower and almost as much torque - potentially retuned to produce even more for the top-of-the-line Focus, which could channel it all to the front wheels like the last model or pack an all-wheel drive system. The Global C platform on which the Focus is based does, after all, also underpin AWD models like the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC.

Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."

Is this the 2017 Ford F-250 and its all-new aluminum body?

Thu, Mar 12 2015

We don't have much to go on, but our friends at Jalopnik have uncovered a completely undoctored photo (used with permission) of what appears to be the 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty. There's no indication of what's under the boxy new sheetmetal – our bet, like that of Jalopnik, is that the 6.2-liter gasoline-powered V8 will join the latest torque-monster of a 6.7-liter PowerStroke V8 – but we're still left with lots of time to work out the details. For now, we see the same kind of upright and in-your-face styling that we've come to expect from the Ford Super Duty, including more chrome than a '60s Cadillac up front and huge headlight clusters that cut deeply into the side bodywork. We also note plenty of glass making up the large greenhouse, which should be a boon for visibility. Of course, the big news is the actual metal that the body is stamped from. We're expecting to see lots of aluminum, with the heavy-duty pickup following the smaller, lighter-duty F-150 into the lightweight realm for increased fuel savings and greater pulling and hauling capabilities. Stay tuned for more. Related Video: News Source: JalopnikImage Credit: Jalopnik Ford Truck Future Vehicles Off-Road Vehicles ford f-250 autoblog black
