Up for sale is my 1995 Ford F-250 Diesel pick-up. This 3 owner truck is 2 WHEEL DRIVE. 1995 was the first year of the "Power Stroke" diesel, if you know anything about these 7.3L turbo charged diesel motors you know that they are awesome engines. The truck has a brand new red paint job on it due to the roof and the hood having faded paint and the clear coat was peeling. (low to mid-nineties Ford trucks are notorious for that.) It also has new black diamond tread bed caps and matching cross lid toolbox. The aluminum polished wheels on the truck are new as well along with a brand new windshield due to the other one being cracked. The truck has gray cloth interior with bucket seats and a custom center console. The dash and interior are very clean for a truck of this age...there are a few minor spots on carpet that could easily be shampooed out, I just have not taken the time to have it done. Also, there is a tear in the driver side seat cushion that I tried to show in pictures, it does not affect the comfort of the seat though whatsoever. This truck is a real head turner, but it IS NOT A SHOW TRUCK. It does have some small dents here and there and mainly on the tailgate, but looks pretty darn good for an old Ford pick-up. The truck runs very strong and only has 159,000 miles on it (under 9,000 miles a year) which is nothing for these trucks and is barely broken in. The automatic transmission shifts as it should, the AC blows ICE COLD and the heater will burn you out. Both fuel tanks are working along with the fuel gage and the rest of the gages. I haven't found anything on this truck that doesn't work. Tires are all matching and have about 70% tread on them, not new but decent tread. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

1914 Ford Model T at Historic Greenfield Village | AutoblogVR
Tue, Sep 6 2016We drive all of the newest and most sophisticated cars, but a 102-year-old Ford is one of our recent favorites. Senior Editor Alex Kierstein headed to historic Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI, to learn to drive a Model T in the latest AutoblogVR segment. Kierstein picks up the Model T fairly quickly, despite its controls. Though they were designed more than a century ago to be simple and easy to use, driving a Model T is complicated and counter-intuitive to the modern motorist. But by the end of his lesson, Kierstein has it all figured out and is enjoying himself. In our other new segment, Detroit Manufacturing, Senior Editor Greg Migliore showcases the city''s industrial might. He tours a modern Fiat Chrysler factory that churns out Dodge Durangos and Jeep Grand Cherokees and then wanders the ruins of the mythical Packard Plant. There's also some tasty and unexpected twists in this VR episode. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too! Ford Jeep Automotive History Driving Classics Videos VR Original Video Detroit ford model t tour 360video
Ford CEO Mark Fields takes home $18.6 million
Fri, Mar 27 2015Sitting atop the throne at Ford Motor Company is, as it turns out, a fairly lucrative gig. We make that statement after learning, through SEC filings, that FoMoCo's Mark Fields raked in $18.6 million in compensation during his first year as CEO. Now, as is so often the case, Fields' earnings weren't just straight salary. Only $1.7 million of that sum was from his salary, while another $3.2 million came from cash bonuses. The remaining $13.7 million, though, came from what The Detroit Free Press called "long-term stock options, performance equity awards and compensation for items such as security and travel," according to the SEC filing. That makes for a significant raise for Fields, who made $10.1 million in 2013, but it still doesn't match his predecessor, former CEO Alan Mulally. The 69-year-old Mulally earned $23.2 million in his final year as CEO, while bringing in $1 million last year as part of a $22 million compensation package. Fields' earnings may ruffle some features for a few reasons. First, while the Freep reports that Ford hit 91 percent of its performance goals, 2014's earnings were down $4 billion, to $3.2 billion, compared to the $7.2 billion the company made in 2013. On top of that, the CEO's take-home might be sour grapes for hourly employees, who were only treated to checks worth $6,900, as part of a profit-sharing plan. To that, Ford said in a statement that, "We remain absolutely committed to aligning executive compensation with the company's business performance and to tying a significant portion of executive compensation to long-term shareholder value."
