The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"I would describe this truck as in good running condition. The only parts that are not original is it has a new carburetor with a oil bath air cleaner and a different speedometer cluster but it looks correct to the period. The new black paint on the truck is like a rubberized black. Tires are new. The seat looks like it came out of the 70s but its comfortable and we seem to like it when we are riding around. All the locks work with the keys including the glove box and all the glass is original. The back glass has a crack but has not seemed to be an issue. The motor probably has some blow-by because it leaks some oil out of the crankcase ventilator, but it has strong oil pressure, plenty of power and runs great. The fuel gauge does not work, and the speedometer worked until last week and started making noises so I unscrewed the cable. Could be something simple, not sure. The blower defrost and wipers work. It has a vintage horn that is super loud."

I have a very rare and desirable 1956 Ford F250 in good running, condition.  These F-Series Trucks are very popular because you can still buy parts for them.  This truck has the original 272 Y-Block V-8 Engine mated with the original 4 Speed Transmission and is a 12 volt system. I have converted over to a alternator but I have the original generator in working condition, I have the original coil, solenoid, and other parts. The truck has new tires all the way around. To the best of my knowledge very few of the 250s were produced. This truck was converted to a dually flatbed at one time which was very well done and looks factory.  I also have a new electronic ignition module for the distributor but its running so good I have not yet installed. I have serviced the transmission and differential. I also replaced the points, condenser, plugs, cap, rotor, coil, solenoid, fuel filters.  The left front wheel cylinder needs to be replaced but its drivable. Parking Brake mechanism works well, but needs new brake shoes/pads. There is no rust on the frame but the cab corners would need repair in a restoration. Clutch shifts good but there doesn't seem to be much pedal left. There might be some adjustment underneath but I am not sure.  The truck is flat black, but the original color was Meadow Green. Truck drives and rides good.   Truck comes with most  original parts like arm rests, door panels, etc. Truck has a clean open title.  Truck has dual fuel tanks. There is plenty of room on the running boards for tool boxes, generator, etc.  Has a nice stereo in the glove box with custom speaker boxes on the floor. Some say this is the coolest truck ever made and gets thumbs up and complements. I think out of the 50 vehicles that I have owned this is one of the most fun to drive. I hate to sell this truck but I don't have the room and I can't stand to let it sit outside. Mileage stated is an approximate, we're not really sure. This trucks so rare there is not another 1956 Ford F250 for sale on Ebay.

PLEASE READ!  We are not trying to misrepresent the truck in any way but it was brought to our attention that the 56 has a rounded front window and rectangular vents and this one don't. This truck has a clean 56 title and matching Vin plate.  Looks like someone cloned this truck as a 56.  After further review of the front grille we think is is a 53 Deluxe cab.  It is still a cool truck but it don't seem to be the true 56 it says it is.   Thanks and please understand this ad revision.

James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial

Sat, 01 Feb 2014

Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.

F-150 just the start of Ford's aluminum plans

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Not only have we been told that the 2015 Ford F-150 is tougher, more durable and up to 700 pounds lighter than the current truck, Ford COO Mark Fields said it's also "CAFE-positive." That means, for the first time in the history of corporate average fuel economy standards, the F-150 would be a positive contributor on Ford's CAFE balance sheet instead of being a vehicle it needs to counterbalance with frugal offerings.
Fields' comments made at the Detroit Auto Show were among quotes from other Ford execs that confirmed the carmaker will be using aluminum for more of its vehicles. CEO Alan Mulally said it would "proliferate across our lineup," with speculation being that we'll see it applied to crossover and sport utility models first, since they'll benefit the most. Even gaining the massive scale of using aluminum on the world's best selling vehicle for its first effort - on average, the company sells two times as many F-150s in a single day as Land Rover sells of its aluminum Range Rover in a month - Ford will be looking to further spread the cost of its five-year development investment in aluminum technology. And that should mean better handling and fuel economy for those of us who don't need to wear hardhats at the office.

Ford Fusion demand outstripping supply

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

The attractive new 2013 Ford Fusion has done wonders for the brand in the highly competitive midsize sedan segment - the vehicle is up nearly 22 percent compared to last year. But that sales momentum may soon hold steady due to low inventory levels of the new Fusion across the United States.
According to a report in The Detroit News, citing automotive data and Ward's Auto, Ford currently has a 39-day supply of the Fusion. That might sound fine, but a normally healthy average is about a 60-day supply. If Ford were to stop production on the Fusion today, there would only be enough vehicles available to get through another five weeks of sales, according to the News.
Currently, Ford produces the Fusion at its three-shift assembly plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, and will add production at its facility in Flat Rock, MI later this year. A Ford spokesperson told The Detroit News that when Flat Rock production comes online, the automaker will need to rush new stock out to the regions with the most demand for the Fusion. Ford has doubled its coastal retail market share, with huge amounts of growth in areas like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami, the News reports.
