Ever feel like there's a caged animal trapped inside of you?  Only one cure for that, getting a sick f*$king' truck.  This 2008 F-150 King Ranch!  This maroon lady will get you to work like a full-blown go hard, transport you and your partner through the zombie apocalypse, and give you a new platform for tearing through the woods with the breeze in your hair screaming "I'M ALIVE!" on the way to Bikram yoga.

The truck runs like corn through a goose, with all services done as per manufacturers recommendation with full records.

She has decent tires on her, because you dont deprive a classy lady of classy shoes.  I even gave her a slide out bed tray, because she needed some friggin' jewelry.

Why am I selling it?  Cos being alive rules, and I'm far too gnarly of a dude to have a truck.  I see a mud ramp, I'm gonna hit that mothertrucker going 300MPH. (But I didn't, fear not!)

The final bid amount gets you the beast, the pull out bed tray, all the papers I have on it (original owner), the hitch, some links to my favorite YouTube videos, a short story about robots, a cup of coffee with me, and whatever kind of donut you want.

You can see all the options and features the truck has on the window sticker photo, its pretty loaded and was $42,615.00 new + all the BS taxes and fees.

Anyways, inspection is available by appointment M-F 8:30 AM - 5PM in Plainfield, NJ.  CASH ONLY, no I will not accept your phony check.  Mileage may vary slightly as I'm still daily driving this..  You have 5 days from auction end to pay.  Sold as-is!  Truck runs great, drives great, looks great.  Expect the normal amount of small scratches and door dings for something with this age/miles.  The one or two dings were so small I couldn't even get a clear photo.

Next Ford F-150 delayed for aluminum body panel issues?

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The timetable for next-generation Ford F-150 may be in trouble if a report from The Truth About Cars is true. The next F-150 is slated to make extensive use of weight-saving aluminum in its body, but the aluminum alloy provided by suppliers hasn't met Ford's requirements in the earliest phases of pre-production, according to the report.
The F-150 represents a huge portion of Ford's profits and is the best-selling truck in the US, even in the face of increased pressure from cross-town rivals General Motors and Ram. While the current truck is treading water against its competition, we'd be lying if we said the F-150 weren't growing quite long in the tooth.
If production of the next-generation of the Ford cash cow, said to be based on the Atlas Concept from the 2013 Detroit Auto Show (pictured above), is delayed, it could be bad for Ford. Production at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant is already set to be delayed six to ten weeks, missing an internal on-sale deadline of Memorial Day.

NHTSA investigating Ford Fiesta for faulty door latches

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation on the 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta because the regulator has received 61 complaints from drivers, including one claim of an injury, about the doors on the subcompacts failing to latch and sometimes even flying open while driving. NHTSA has estimated that the problem could affect as many as 205,000 vehicles.
NHTSA is still gathering further data about the problem, but looking at the complaints so far, both front and rear doors appear to be potentially involved with the alleged failures. Among the reports, there are 12 claiming that the door opened while driving. Several also indicate the "Door Ajar" warning illuminating during this problem. The one purported injury happened when someone attempted to shut the door, and it bounced back.
Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker told Autoblog via email, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the report from NHTSA.

Fields 'required' to use private aircraft, could make $5.25M as Ford CEO this year

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Mark Fields' travels on the friendly skies will soon be a relatively personal affair, as the new CEO at Ford will be required to resume air travel via the company's private planes. Fields caught plenty of flak in 2007 for flying on the company's dime to visit his family in Florida. He's since flown commercial.
According to Ford spokesperson Susan Krusel, who spoke to Bloomberg, Fields (pictured above right, with Bill Ford, Jr. at center and Alan Mulally at left) will switch to private travel "for safety and to maximize his availability for company business." In addition to his new travel arrangements, the 53-year-old exec's salary and bonuses have been revealed.
Regulatory filings by Ford revealed that Fields, whose first day in the big chair was July 1, will receive a base salary this year of $1.25 million and he'll be eligible for $3.5 million in bonuses, both of which are lower than Alan Mulally's $2 million salary and $5.88 million in bonuses received last year. That's also lower than General Motors CEO Mary Barra's alleged $1.6-million salary and considerably less than Sergio Marchionne's $3.19-million fixed salary from Fiat. Despite falling short of other CEOs, Fields' new pay still represents a 33-percent increase over his pay as Chief Operating Officer.
