1985 Ford F150 Xlt Lariant 2 Door Long Bed With 351 Windsor Motor 122k Miles on 2040-cars
Grafton, Wisconsin, United States
Up for sale is this 1985 Ford F-150 with the Windsor 351 V8 Engine. This is a dependable truck that starts up every time, even though I only drive it every week or so. She has 122K miles on her but the engine runs strong and has the 351 Windsor motor. The truck spent a lot of its life in Wyoming on a farm.
The Good: The motor runs Strong Good set of wheels and tires Overall body is in good shape with no dents, some rust over the wheel wheels Overall the Interior is in good condition with no rips or tears and it does have a dash cover new battery in July low miles for 1985 Tow hitch with wiring which works. The Bad: The engine leaks a bit of oil The seals and gaskets changed but still leaks oil Side View mirrors both have cracks, You can still see but they are cracked Head liner sags a bit Cold blooded in winter but once warm runs fine Has an exhaust leak ( I have not tired to repair) The heater makes a noise on high speed I believe I have described the truck fairly, I have not put to many miles on this truck and am currently only driving this once or twice every couple of weeks. I am not very mechanical but for someone who is you might be able to stop the oil leak. I check the Oil level every time I drive just to insure it is not low. The title is clear and is in my name. I will consider all reasonable offers. e-mail any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck. |

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company's archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company's own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, "once in a while" has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There's a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you'll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k and Focus concept for $50k. And of course there are the Mustangs.
