Up for bids is this super clean 1973 ford truck. This is a perfect example or a survivor truck. To be a 40 year old truck this is a very clean one. It has a clear title. It has 61,076 miles on it. This is supposed to be the actual miles. I have no way to prove it but if you look at the truck, interior, and everything it shows that is is most likely the original mileage. The interior in this truck is very nice. You see very few restored trucks with interior this nice. This is a long wheel base truck. The body is very nice with very very little rust. The floors are nice. The bed is nice. The body panels are nice. There is one place that I can find that has rust on it. It is on the drivers side of the bed. I took a pic of it. The only other thing wrong with the body is there is a place on the top of the cab that is dented. I took a pic of it to. Everything is original and nice. Here is the only bad thing with the truck. It needs a motor job or new motor. When I got it the motor was in the process of being worked on or overhauled and they quit working on it so this is how I got it. If you have a fresh motor to drop in it you can drop it in here and drive it. This would make a super nice truck to rebuild. You don't see these any more. They are few and far between in this shape. Ford Mustang returning to Australia in 2016
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Australia's Herald Sun newspaper has reported that the next-generation Ford Mustang is heading Down Under in 2016, just as Ford is hanging the "Closed for Good" sign on its Australian manufacturing operations and sending the Falcon to its grave. Ford hasn't offered any official word on the matter, but the paper says that Ford's global VP of sales and marketing, Jim Farley, is flying to Australia to make the announcement himself.
While Ford converted Mustangs in the early 2000s from left-hand to right-hand drive for the Australian market and then sold them at high prices, it's been almost five decades since Ford imported a dedicated right-hand-drive Mustang to Oz. The arrival of the global model specifically made for places like Australia and the UK means Ford will also be able to offer them at better prices than the converted models; the Herald Sun says the price is expected to be "close to $50,000."
And that's for one of the "V8 performance models," which are the only ones Australia will get; Ford apparently won't send the turbocharged four cylinder or the V6. The Aussies could find out in a month from now whether this rumor is true. We will all find out what this Mustang fuss is about when the car debuts at next year's New York Auto Show.
Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang appears at EAA Oshkosh
Sat, 26 Jul 2014Ford is back at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, WI, on July 31 auctioning off its seventh Mustang for charity, and this is one seriously mean looking 2015 'Stang. All of the money from the sale goes to give free introductory flights to young people to get them interested in aviation.
We recently saw this latest EAA Mustang as a sketch. However, it looks a whole lot more menacing in person. Dubbed the Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang, it takes liberal inspiration from Lockheed Martin's latest fighter jet, and the customization makes the pony car look ready for a role in Top Gun.
On the outside, the special Mustang wears titanium-color paint that's offset by a black and yellow stripe running from hood to rear. Out back things get really wild with a mix of bright yellow and black that flows diagonally all the way to the rear spoiler. The design is based on the livery of early production F-35s. If the rousing color scheme isn't enough to get you interested, the car also gets a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, lowered suspension and a set of custom 21-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers.

Mon, 14 Apr 2014Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
