Up for auction is a very cool 1963 Ford F100. I own a Custom Car/ Restoration shop in Texas, and this is my personal truck. The truck was built from the ground up, starting with a fully modified and air bagged chassis. Mustang II front end with tubular upper/lower control arms, air bags, Unisteer manual rack, boxed and raised front frame rails. Rear suspension is 2x4 rectangular from the cab back, with a traditional 4 link setup with bags and a panhard bar. Ford 9" rear end with 3.90 gears. Chassis is completely painted ceramic chassis black. The truck drives straight and rides nice at 4" of ride height down the highway at 80mph.
Engine is dressed to look like a Hi-Po 289 from a 1966 GT350 Mustang. Its a .030 over 302. Edelbrock aluminum heads, Crane cam, lifters, and roller chain. Performer RPM intake, Holley 4150 HP carb, Pertronix distributor and MSD coil. Tri-Y headers with Flowmaster Mufflers. Transmission is a Tremec TKO 5 speed. Clutch is a RAM diaphragm style.
The body of the truck is lazer straight. Bed has been raised 1" from stock, rear fenders were raised 2" from stock, fuel filler shaved, antenna hole removed, tailgate modified to read "FURD", cause I'm a redneck. The exterior is sprayed with Eastwood Rat Rod black. Interior and underhood are PPG base/ clear in Corvette Victory red. The truck is straight enough to be gloss black, but I like the satin look. The doors are hand lettered with One Shot. Most of the black underhood parts are powdercoated. Wheels are powdercoated. Tires are Coker bias ply's front and rear.
The truck was completely rewired front to back, ATO style fuse block with 20 circuits. The air ride system consists of 2 Viar compressors and 2 air tanks. The valves are SMC's. The entire system runs 3/8" lines.
This is a very dependable truck. We just recently ran half of the Hot Rod Power Tour with no problems. Runs good, drives good, doesn't overheat. No junk here, not a "Rat Rod" but a properly built traditional hot rod. I have tons of time and money invested into this truck, it's listed with a reasonable reserve. The truck would cost 3 times the amount to build.
Please contact me with any questions or for more pictures. Thanks for looking.

Ford cuts 950 Russian jobs on weak demand
Thu, 03 Apr 2014The Russian auto market, in decline for the past year and further hit by the declining value of the ruble and recent sanctions over its annexation of Crimea, has forced Ford to cut jobs and shifts at two of its joint venture plants there. Around 700 of the 2,700 total workers who build the Russian-market Focus and Mondeo will be cut at the plant in Vsevolozhsk, near St. Petersburg as it drops to a single production shift. A second plant about 700 miles away in Yelabuga, in the Tartarstan region, will lose 250 workers. That plant builds seven vehicles, including the Explorer, Kuga and Edge.
The Moscow Times says Ford has been especially hit by the market decline, the overall market losing 5.5 percent in 2013 compared to the year before, but Ford sales dropping 18 percent in 2013 year-on-year. This year isn't going any better, with The Blue Oval posting a 21-percent decline through the first two months of 2014. That's why, though the Yelabuga plant builds the CUVs that customers are moving into, even it is facing cuts.
The job cuts in Vsevolozhsk come on top four-week plant shutdown planned so that the paint and body shops can go to one shift. In a statement, the company said, "Ford Sollers remains absolutely committed to the Russian market and is confident it has the right product plan, people and assets to deliver long-term profitable growth."
Exceptionally rare '65 Ford GT40 Roadster prototype up for auction
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Think of mid-engined supercars and your mind is bound to gravitate towards Europe, but the United States has been known to make a handful from time to time - exceptional vehicles from the likes of Vector, SSC, Mosler, Hennessey, and Saleen. But long before any of those came around, Ford famously became obsessed with beating Ferrari at its own game, leading to the development of the iconic GT40.
The story is well known, sending Ford to the checkered flag at Le Mans four times in a row in the late 1960s. Ford and Shelby also built over 100 for public consumption, but just four of them were roadsters. Of those only one remains in original condition, and now that exceedingly rare example going up for auction.
Consigned to RM Auctions for its mid-August sale during Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, California, this 1965 model is the first GT40 Roadster built. It was used as a development and demonstration vehicle for Ford and Shelby. Carroll Shelby himself drove Henry Ford II in this very car during one of many test and demo events, this time held for Ford's board of directors in Los Angeles.
Ford of India in hot water for Figo celebrity bondage ads
Fri, 22 Mar 2013Apparently sensibilities in India, at least in the case of some Ford marketing partners, are downright lascivious at times. Case in point are a new series of print ads, presumably touting the vast cargo capacity of the Ford Figo hatchback, that involve more than a whiff of T&A, S&M and other sexy abbreviations.
In all seriousness, the advertising campaign is taking some major heat in the Indian press for being outrageously sexist. All three images - which seem to be produced by a graphic artist with some Heavy Metal work in his/her portfolio - show bound and gagged people stuffed into the Figo's boot. With a tagline reads, "Leave Your Worries Behind." one version features a peace-sign throwing Silvio Berlusconi holding hostage three buxom and barely clad women, all wearing ball gags with hands and feet bound. Charming. Another version shows Paris Hilton similarly kidnapping a trio of Kardashians, while a third (tame in terms of the clothing at least), has Michael Schumacher toting Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton.
Clearly in bad taste, at least, the Indian source also questions the timing of these risqué Ford ads, as the follow by days new anti-rape legislation passed by the Indian Parliament. Ford has responded in a statement, that it and its advertising partner (JWT India) "deeply regret" the ads, and claim that they "never should have happened."
