1949 Ford F1 Rat Rod Short Bed Ratrod Truck Pickup 49 F100 Fink Suicide Doors on 2040-cars
Bassett, Virginia, United States
What is it? That's what you will always hear while sporting this jewel around. The answer to that question is "Its a Ratrod". Its title as a 49 Ford F1. The cab and bed are 49 Ford as the front end is a 50's era GMC. The body is sitting on a 93 S10 frame so it does have power steering and power brakes. Also as the complete running gear out of the S10 with a 2.5 automatic. It runs smoothly down the road at 75mph easily. It handles great and rides smooth. Drive it anywhere you want to go. This ratrod does have suicide doors. Its very unique and it gets compliments everywhere it goes. Don't drive this if your in a hurry because everyone wants to stop and talk about it and again be prepared to answer the "what is it question". The interior is unique as well while keeping the ratrod theme. It has a new one piece windshield, the hood is a split hood so it can be opened from the driver side or passenger side, one pic shows the dragon fly spark plug that's on the drivers fender and the rat fink hood emblem. It has a cd player, air horns, all the gauges work and light up, has LED tail lights, headlights work as well. I hate selling this ratrod but Im selling several of my toys for a family home project (swimming pool). Good luck to all bidders and if you have any questions just ask. I can deliver to the east coast region but that must be discussed before the auction ends.

Porsche 911 Turbo and Nissan GT-R Nismo star in World's Greatest Drag Race 4
Fri, 26 Sep 2014We love Motor Trend's annual World's Greatest Drag Race video. Now back for its fourth appearance, the idea of lining some of the world's fastest cars up for a ten-wide, straight-line, full-throttle run is, well... it's pretty freaking badass.
The lineup this year boasts some impressively fast cars to be sure. The group of ten includes the following darlings: Alfa Romeo 4C, BMW i8, BMW M4, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Ford Fiesta ST, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, Nissan GT-R Nismo, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Subaru WRX STI and, last but not least, the Volkswagen GTI. Give us any one of those for the weekend, and we're happy to take the keys.
It must be said though, that for a publication that draws as much water as Motor Trend does, there are some big cars that we might expect to be here instead. The Lamborghini Huracán or Ferrari 458 Speciale would have added some exotic flare to the list, and the omissions of the Chevy Corvette Stingray (for the second year in a row) and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat are real head-scratchers.

2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium
Mon, 28 Oct 2013You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.
