Troy, Ohio, United States
|
Hello, up for auction is my 2001 Ford Excursion, Limited, 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel, two tone Hunter Green, power and torque all day long. Low miles, clean, full leather, fully loaded, third row seats, never abused or chipped, and with many extras. Adult / non-smoker owned and maintained. This is a great SUV, this is a power house, tow anything!! 4WD with manual locking hubs, this is a must see. These Excursions were the last ones to get with the 7.3 Powerstoke Turbo Diesel, these are reliable and bullet proof motors. This is a very clean Excursion, and I hate to see it go!! This Excursion has been garage kept and maintained by a local diesel mechanic, since I purchased the SUV in 2009. Mechanic's number is available upon request. In addition to the standard equipment this Excursion comes with the following included: - Husky liners for the front, middle row, third row, and cargo area - Dual TVs for the middle and third row - Dual power converters for DVD and game consoles - DVD player - Aftermarket front grill and rear light guards - Hitch and 2" ball - WARN aftermarket locking hubs I have tried to accurately show the condition of the SUV, see the many pictures, it is a 2001 and is in great condition for the year. I would be happy to send you additional, upon request. There is a split seam on the driver's side chair that has been sewn, as well as a small tear in the driver side chair skirting. If you have any questions, please contact me prior to auction close (937) 313-6727. This vehicle is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the action at any time. The Excursion is located about 20 minutes from the Dayton, Ohio airport and I would be happy to pick up from the airport. Standard Equipment: EXTERIOR
MECHANICAL Thanks for the interest, good luck on the auction, and Happy Bidding! |

Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Feb 2013What looks to be the next Ford Edge has been leaked in an apparent corporate Powerpoint presentation deck. Despite the thumbnail image's blurry and pixelated quality, it appears as if the next generation crossover will be staying close to its current aesthetic despite an all-new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights.
The upscale-minded Blue Oval CUV is due for a redesign in 2015, having just received a mid-cycle refresh for 2011. It isn't clear what changes lie beneath the new skin, either in terms of mechanicals or interior refinement, but we suspect Ford will be looking to put some distance between the next generation model and the new Escape, which is suddenly much more car-like and not that far off the more expensive Edge in terms of overall size, power or refinement.
UPDATE: Substituted clearer image - thanks, Sean!
Jeep Grand Cherokee, BMW i8, Ford F-150 win 2015 Green Car Awards in DC [w/video]
Tue, Jan 27 2015There were three shiny trophies handed out at the Washington Auto Show last week by Green Car Journal, and they went to three different examples of what "green" means in the automotive industry today. The Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel won the award for the 2015 Green SUV of the Year, the BMW i8 was named the 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year and the Ford F-150 took the 2015 Green Car Technology Award honor. There is a case to be made that the aluminum body of the new Ford truck will make a bigger impact in the overall fuel usage in the US than almost any other vehicle, given the numbers of F-150s that Ford sells each year. The B20 biodiesel-capable Jeep gets up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. And the i8 puts all sorts of new, fuel-saving technologies into an attractive package. Looking over the winners, and the list of finalists you can see in our photo gallery, and you can see that the definition of green is expanding every year. You can watch Green Car Journal editor Ron Cogan hand out the 2015 awards in the video below and we'll for sure be paying attention to what wins next year. 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year, Green SUV of the Year and Green Car Technology Winners Announced WASHINGTON, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Car Journal has named the Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel its 2015 Green SUV of the Year™ and the BMW i8 its 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year™, with the aluminum-bodied Ford F-150 earning the magazine's 2015 Green Car Technology Award™. Winners were determined by a jury of Green Car Journal editors and automotive experts. The prestigious awards were announced in Washington, D.C. today at a Green Car Awards™ press conference held during the Washington Auto Show's Public Policy Day at the Washington Convention Center. "These are truly commendable vehicles representing the 'best-of-the-best' in so many ways," said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of the Green Car Journal and CarsOfChange.com. "The auto industry's very early focus on small cars and efficiency-for-environment tradeoffs has evolved to now include a more dynamic field of 'greener' models in all vehicle classes. Those wanting greater efficiency or better environmental performance are no longer constrained by limited choices or vehicle types that fall outside their top purchase preferences.
