2001 - Ford Excursion on 2040-cars
Kissimmee, Florida, United States
This truck has been meticulously maintained its entire life! Here are some of the highlights of the truck: Exterior Good shape with moderate wear. Few tiny dents and scratches. Hardly any rust at all. Heavy Duty trailer towing package. Factory Chrome 16" Wheels with great Michelin tires (over 50% left). Reverse Sensors. Running Boards. Paint is in acceptable shape. Interior Very clean. Everything inside works except one of the side vent windows beside the 3rd row bench -- it's closed and will not open. This Excursion was originally equipped with a transponder key and receiver in the steering column. The receiver has been removed from the column. When first starting the engine, the Theft light flashes for about 2 minutes then extinguishes. The nice thing about the transponder being removed is that you don't have to pay Ford 200+ for a new key. The not-so-nice thing about its removal is that the anti-theft feature no longer works. Powertrain Engine/Transmission/Transaxle are all in GREAT mechanical shape. No noises, no serious leaks! Both batteries were replaced Dec 2013. Exhaust in great shape, no leaks. Transmission shifts as smooth as butter. The transmission was rebuilt by Transmission Specialties in 2012 with a brand-new torque converter and all new clutch packs (among other things). Engine doesn't burn oil or coolant. Starts right up! No check engine light. Suspension Rides great.

Ford honors Chinese Year of the Horse with Vaughn Gittin Jr., Mustang video
Fri, Feb 27 2015Calendar years and fiscal years tend to be the only timetables automakers concern themselves with, but that doesn't mean there isn't recognition of other measures of time. Ford has opted to observe the Chinese zodiac, largely because the Year of the Horse ended just last week. That's fortuitous timing, considering the first Ford Mustangs were making their way towards the People's Republic as celebrations were carrying on. To recognize this fact, and the end of the Year of the Horse, Ford recruited drift king Vaughn Gittin, Jr., to take a 2015 Mustang GT to the streets of Ordos City, in north-central China. It's not as dramatic as some of Ford's recent videos, like the one starring Ken Block and the Ford Focus RS, but it's pretty cool all the same. Take a look. 2015 Ford S-Max adds all-wheel drive, adaptive steering
Fri, 03 Oct 2014The Blue Oval's 'One Ford' mantra has seen rapid commonization of the automaker's products across markets, but North America still has to look from afar at most of the company's Max-branded people movers, including this new S-Max. That's a bit of a shame - we like the space efficiency and above-average driving dynamics of the C-Max models we do get, but seeing this updated seven-seat small minivan makes us want the One Ford initiative to extend even further.
The new model's changes include an updated powertrain range including a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four with 158 horsepower, and a larger, 237-horsepower, 2.0-liter model, along with a pair of revised lower-emissions 2.0-liter diesels. The big news, however, is the advent of available all-wheel drive, something that hasn't been offered since the S-Max first went on sale back in 2006.
On the technology front, the S-Max is the first European model to receive Ford Adaptive Steering, a variable-ratio technology we recently sampled in a prototype Fusion that is expected to go into production on the next-generation Edge. The S-Max also receives a new aluminum-intensive integral link rear suspension, packaged to continue to fit up to 32 different seating combinations. Safety equipment is always a prime concern in kinschleppers like the S-Max, and to that end, this new model receives pre-collision assist technology and LED headlamps.
