I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK IN 2011 FROM THE TOWNSHIP OF HOPEWELL NJ. IT WAS WELL MAINTAINED AND IN GOOD RUNNING CONDITION WITH AN ODOMETER READING OF 29,752 MILES. I INSTALLED 2 NEW BATTERIES, A PIONEER CD PLAYER AND SPEAKERS, AND ACQUIRED 2 SPARE WHEELS AND TIRES. I HAVE USED IT FOR WORK AND PLAY FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS. IT STARTS EASY, RUNS STRONG, AND HAS GONE RIGHT THROUGH NJ INSPECTION EVERY YEAR. IT IS STILL IN VERY GOOD SHAPE, SEE PICS. I DO JOBSITE SURVEYING, MEASURING, AND FIELD ENGINEERING. THIS MADE AN EXCELLENT FIELD OFFICE AND LUNCH ROOM. FOLD UP TABLE IS BIG ENOUGH TO OPEN LARGE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS. I ALSO BUILD AND FLY LARGE SCALE RADIO CONTROLLED AIRPLANES. WITH PLENTY OF LIGHTING AND 120V OUTLETS IT MAKES A GREAT MOBILE SHOP FOR THE FLYING FIELD. ALL THE LIGHTS AND OUTLETS WORK. FLOODS ON BOTH SIDES AND REAR PROVIDE PLENTY OF LIGHT WHEN USED FOR HUNTING OR CAMPING. A FELLOW EMPLOYEE DONATED A TV AND CONVERTER BOX WHICH WORKED GREAT. THEY ARE INCLUDED. MOST JOBSITES PROVIDED 120V POWER, BUT SOME REQUIRED THE USE OF A GENERATOR. IT IS INCLUDED. THIS IS A GREAT TRUCK IN GOOD CONDITION, SEE PICS. CAB HAS SOME BODY RUST JUST STARTING. THERE IS NO RESERVE AND I WILL NOT RELIST. On May-30-14 at 04:48:58 PDT, seller added the following information: THIS TRUCK WAS LISTED PREVIOUSLY AND HAD BIDS. EBAY REMOVED IT STATING IT WAS LISTED IN THE WRONG CATAGORY. THEY WANT IT LISTED WITH EMERGENCY VEHICLES, WHICH IT NO LONGER IS. I CONTACTED EBAY TO EXPLAIN THAT IT IS IN FACT A FORD E-SERIES VAN WITH AN AMBULANCE BODY. I HAVE RELISTED WHILE THEY FIGURE IT OUT. THEY MAY REMOVE IT AGAIN. MY APPOLOGIES TO THOSE WHO HAD OR HAVE NOW PLACED BIDS. REGARDS, GARY On May-30-14 at 07:20:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I AM ADDING THE FOLLOWING BASED ON "MY MEMORY" OF A CONVERSATION I HAD WITH THE TOWNSHIP OFFICIAL WHO SHOWED ME THE TRUCK. IT STARTED LIFE WITH THE FIRST AID DEPT AS AN AMBULANCE, AT SOME POINT IT WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE POLICE DEPT AND RETROFITTED AS A MOBILE COMMAND CENTER, AND FINALLY IT WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE UTILITIES DEPT WHO ADDED THE FOLD UP TABLE AND TRAILER HITCH. AT SOME POINT IT WAS RETIRED AND SAT FOR ABOUT A YEAR BEFORE I TOOK POSESSION. |

Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
Ford F-Series Super Duty earns Truck of Texas award
Wed, Oct 12 2016Texans love their pickup trucks, which you already knew. That means the Texas Auto Writers Association and its "Truck of Texas" award is a big deal. And the latest trophy goes to the 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty. The pickup truck managed to snag TAWA's award at the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo. The award marks the 13th time Ford's F-Series has been named the pickup king of the Lone Star State. Roughly 70 journalists converged outside at the Longhorn River Ranch, just outside of Austin, TX, for the 23rd annual Texas Truck Rodeo where a host of Ford's vehicles won awards. In addition to the F-Series Super Duty being named the "Truck of Texas," the 2017 Ford Super Duty won the Heavy Duty Pickup Truck award, while the 2017 Ford F-150 with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine won the Best Powertrain award. The journalists also awarded Ford for having the "Truck Line of Texas." Ford wasn't the only winner at the Texas Truck Rodeo, as Nissan brought home five awards, including one for the 2017 Titan in the fullsize pickup category and one for the Armada in the SUV segment. Ram also won a few accolades with its trucks. The 2017 Ram 1500 won for being the most luxurious pickup truck, while the 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon won the off-road pickup truck award. Last year, TAWA named the 2016 Nissan Titan XD the Truck of Texas, but Ford's all-new F-Series Super Duty managed to keep the Japanese automaker's full-size offering at bay. For the 2017 model, Ford placed aluminum body panels into the F-Series Super Duty's body, which not only shed weight, but also make the truck stronger. Scroll down to see the entire list of TAWA's winners from the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo. UK Mustang buyers want big American V8s
Tue, Aug 25 2015Just before Ford ended its marketing partnership with Europe's UEFA Champions League soccer tournament last year, it showcased the 2015 Mustang during the event final in Lisbon, Portugal. Ford put 500 Mustangs up for pre-order to viewers in 20 countries, 130 of them right-hand-drive models for the UK. It didn't take 30 seconds for every car to be snapped up because almost 10,000 people tried to buy them. That's how hungry Europe is for the Mustang. That helps explain why orders for the pony car in the UK already number almost 2,000 units, which ties up production past July 2016. Ford UK released a few details on the order habits of that kingdom united, saying 80 percent have taken the coupe over the convertible, and 70 percent have gone for the 410-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8. That compares to 52 percent of US buyers taking the V8 instead of the V6 or the 2.3-liter Ecoboost. The UK V8 output number is 25 ponies down on our US model because of the switch to right-hand drive, the steering assembly location requiring a new exhaust manifold. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost is the only other engine offered there. The row-your-own set nips the slushbox crowd, 55 percent of buyers choosing the six-speed manual, and Race Red is the most popular of the ten available colors with 23-percent uptake. The graphic above breaks it all down, the press release below spells it all out. Related Video FIRST UK DELIVERIES IN SIGHT AS FORD MUSTANG ORDERS ACCELERATE TOWARDS 2,000 BRENTWOOD, Essex, UK, August 24, 2015 – Almost 2,000 Ford Mustang orders have been taken in the UK since January as the first right-hand drive cars begin to roll off the production line at Flatrock Assembly Plant in Michigan, North America. The Ford Mustang – introduced in the U.S. more than 50 years ago – has excited fans across the globe, but has never been available to order with right-hand drive, until now. The first UK customer deliveries are expected from November, with extra supply secured to meet the greater than expected demand. So far, 80 per cent of UK customers have opted for the fastback body style over the convertible and 70 per cent have specified the 416PS 5.0-litre V8 engine over the more fuel-efficient 317PS 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine. Mustang's six-speed manual transmission is the slightly more popular choice (55 per cent) over the six-speed automatic, which comes with sporty SelectShift paddle control.
