2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Sedan 4-door 4.6l Project on 2040-cars
Jackson, New Jersey, United States
| I am selling a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria police Interceptor. This car is a project and needs the motor and trans installed. I bought the car with a  bad motor and then bought a parts car with a good motor. The motor is out of the car and ready for the new motor to be put in. I drove the parts car and it ran great and had good power and no check engine lights. The motor only has 90k. I lost my garage space and am no longer interested in working on the car. The motor needs a new engine oil dipstick and also new exhaust studs. The car is very clean and only has 89k miles on it. There is a very small amount of rust starting in a few of the typical spots but the underneath of the car is very clean. The only problem of the body is the rear bumper cover is cracked. The rest of the body is in very good condition.  There is one hole in the roof from police lights and one antenna hole in the trunk. The car will make for a very good car for someone willing to put  some time in. I tried to describe the car as best as I can. If you have any questions please ask and I will get back to you. |

Ford spotted testing new Fiesta RS hot hatch
Mon, Mar 16 2015There's a lot to love about Focus ST and Fiesta ST, but if neither of those is enough for you, we've got good news: Ford has even more potent RS versions of both in the works. The Focus RS we already saw last month, but here we have our first spy shots of the smaller Fiesta RS undergoing testing. Spotted alongside still-camouflaged prototypes of its big brother, the new Ford Fiesta RS is wearing a modified front end, flared fenders packing a wider track and a revised rear-end. The beefed-up bodywork is all well and fine, but we're looking forward to finding out what's underneath it all. Sources point towards a 250-horsepower version of Dearborn's 1.6-liter EcoBoost turbo four, along with upgraded brakes and suspension. The big question, though, is whether the production Fiesta RS will pack the new performance all-wheel-drive system from its larger counterpart, or stick with front-drive and some sort of clever diff. It may be too early to tell, as this pocket rocket is likely a good year away from its debut, but in the meantime you can scope out the spy shots in the slideshow above for a taste of what's to come. Muscle wins big at 2013 Amelia Island Concours as 1936 Duesenberg, 1968 Ford GT40 take top honors
Wed, 13 Mar 2013The 18th-annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance took place this past weekend, and in one of the show's biggest years yet (bringing in more than 25,000 spectators and attracting more than 300 vehicles), two powerhouses ended up winning the judges' hearts. The top Concours d'Elegance award went to a 1936 Duesenberg SJN, while the Concours de Sport went to one of the celebrated marques, a 1968 Ford GT40.
Owned by Helen and Jack Nethercutt of Sylmar, CA, this flawless Duesy is described as "one of the most powerful open cars of the 1930s," and it displays design cues of the era like rolled fenders and a tapered rear end. The SJN's supercharged straight-eight allowed it to accelerate to 100 miles per hour in just 17 seconds - surely not a disappointing feat for its day.
On a much different level of performance and timelessness, this Gulf-livery GT40 from the Rocky Mountain Auto Collection is not outdone by the elegance of the big Duesenberg thanks to some well-documented racing history. This not only includes winning at LeMans in both 1968 and 1969 - Chassis No. 1075 also managed to win a total of six times in just 11 races.
2016 Ford Focus RS may yet be AWD, US sales likely
Fri, 29 Aug 2014When it comes to forbidden fruit, few vehicles are spoken of in as hushed a tone as the Ford Focus RS. The turbocharged, five-cylinder hot hatch could only be seen from afar by American customers as it tore up the roads of Europe. And while it's safe to say that Ford's Yankee fans are quite happy to now be on equal footing with drivers in the old country thanks to the Focus ST, we doubt there'd be much protestation over a successor to the RS arriving stateside.
Of course, we've seen images of the new RS undergoing testing, but a new story by Road and Track aims to fill in some very large blanks in our knowledge of that car, thanks to a pair of mysterious insiders at the Ford. Chief among those is this - the RS will almost certainly make its way to the US, albeit in limited quantities. It gets better, though.
Under hood, the new RS is unsurprisingly expected to borrow the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Lincoln MKC. While that twin-scroll turbo produces 310 horsepower in the Mustang and 285 ponies in the MKC, R&T expects the RS to deliver quite a bit more firepower - 325 to 350 hp, with preference going to the higher output due to the limited-edition nature of the RS. This roughly fits with previous reports.
